NiftyPM is very easy to use, even if you're not familiar with Project Management software. It's interface is very intuitive and a pleasure to use
I've not yet found anything to dislike about the software - There are a few features that I would like to see added though such as CName integration for white labelling.
I've used various PM tools before and none of them had every feature i needed so often had to use 2 tools such as Trello and Asana to manage everything. NiftyPM is the only solution I've found that has everything I need
Nifty delivers an excellent function set wrapped within a beautiful GUI with an intuitive UI. They provide even a mobile application, which is perfect for my needs! Additionally, their public road map is linked inside this article: https://help.niftypm.com/en/articles/4234882-nifty-public-roadmap In my current company we tried MS Teams Task Planner, Trello Board and other tools — none of them met our requirements. Met my personal requirements. What does Nifty PM provide? You can create milestones and tasks, plan your budget for each task (in near future), define story points, track the execution time for each task and many more like an easy drag and drop functionality, multi-task-editing or task labeling. I currently organize myself using several milestones as “topics” to structure my tasks inside separate swim lanes like Milestone 1 = Topic A, Milestone 2 = Topic B, ...
I really don't dislike things in Nifty. There are just a few minor things I'll look forward to having them implemented soon: 1: Nifty doesn't have yet the CNAME functionality but its on their road map. I already requested the Nifty team to consider implementing these features: 2: Create project specific labels. If you create a custom label, it's currently globally available to other projects. I would like to limit this. 3: Use color picker for custom labels, tasks and milestones I would appreciate tinting milestones, tasks and labels by defining an own color set. I would also appreciate defining color set templates. Additionally, the Nifty document editor could be improved using a markdown interpreter. I would also like to align, merge or colorize table cells. And I would like to sort/organize tasks inside a list using drag and drop.
At my current company, I'll use Nifty to keep myself as well as my work and projects organized. Using the time tracker, I can monitor how much time a different task takes which is mandatory to estimate the total execution time of certain projects. So in short: I benefit from their major functions: milestone + task planning + time tracking. Note: I use the tool currently for myself and try convincing my colleagues to join Nifty. Additionally, I use Nifty for daily tasks on a private base and as second: I have a project containing tasks misused as placeholders for ideas I later might convert into web-content.
Nifty is one of the best project management tool we have used till date. Onboarding Clients as Guests Onboarding clients on Nifty portal is pretty straight forward. With simple few clicks we can add our clients as guests on their respective projects. They can add their tasks and check the overall progress of their project. Tasks Module & Milestones It's easy to create tasks in nifty and at the same time attach a particular task list to a Milestone. We can assign each tasks and its sub tasks to a particular member and create a task dependency , milestone dependency Discussion This is by far - my most favorite module of Nifty. This allows my team to have discussion with clients. Clients can attach their files , comments , leave message about project etc. Docs & Files Docs & Files section helps us to keep all relevant project details in one place. Mobile APP Nifty has a mobile app. It's so user friendly. Using the app , our clients, users can leave their comments attach files on the go.
It doesn't offer white label project portal. For few agencies, this might be a deal breaker. Also it doesn't have an Invoice / Payment module built in.
Biggest problem we faced was streamlining discussion with clients, stake holders and staff. Using discussion module we have been added to reduce the exchange of emails between clients and our company. Tasks / Milestones Templates have made us to create a particular project easily and quickly
Nifty is really easy to use, very flexible and intuitive. I love that you can do so many different things with it, or keep it extremely basic if you like. The customer support has been fantastic, with swift responses and fixing a couple of issues I ran into within 24-48 hours. And there are continual updates and improvements, which I'm really liking.
I couldn't import all my files and conversations from Basecamp, which was a bummer.
I've tried numerous project management solutions and the only one that has worked for me is Basecamp. The price tag didn't work so well for me, so I was happy to find Nifty. As I said, it's been the only one that could do everything I needed. I can now smoothly and easily manage all my projects, communicate with clients and my staff in one place and keep track of everything at a glance. Very easy to assign due date, share files and chat!
I have tried lots of different types of project management tools and never been able to find one I like due to too many features that it becomes overwhelming, or lacking features that are crucial. This strikes the balance between them. I like that I can quickly get a client up to speed with a checklist of all the basic things that are needed for every project with a single click of a button.
I wish the onboarding for clients was a little easier. A few of my clients who are not tech-savvy find it a little difficult to use. But if you are just using it for yourself and not for client facing stuff then it is great.
The problems that I have solved are having a place to keep track of everything that needs doing for a specific project. It strikes the balance between organised and easy to use and not overwhelming.
I'm a huge fan of the Google Docs integration as my work requires a lot of writing, so having it all in one place is phenomenal. It's also incredibly simple to use. It has the same (if not more) features as the classic productivity tool, but this is the only one I've stuck with as it genuinely helps rather than making things more complicated. The apps for both Mac and iPhone a highly functional, too. It has timelines, milestones, start dates, in-app discussions where you can tag the relevant users - honestly, it has it all, but not in an overbearing way that just confuses (like Atlassian), this works for you. You can also have a number of projects running at the same time, each with their own dashboards so you can track each specific part.
I can't say I have many dislikes. Compared to other tools, this really is great. If I HAD to pick one, I'd say that the app takes up quite a bit of room on my laptop, however, using it online works just as well and takes up zero space.
We manage a lot of content, with a heavy schedule. Using the chat features, the Doc integration and the timelines all in one tool has been beyond helpful and ensured we've released content on time and been able to adapt quickly to unexpected changes. We collaborate a lot smoother, send way fewer emails and everyone has a much clearer view of what's going on.
Nifty has a nice, user-friendly interface that's very FAST. I don't have to wait for data to load, like in some apps I've used. Tasks, task data, projects, etc. are available instantly as I navigate. The user experience is also good, everything is laid out intuitively and easy to understand. If you used any other project management apps, there's a minimal learning curve. Everything is there.
The main issue I see with Nifty is the lack of accessibility. If you need something accessible for users with disabilities, you'll find issues with Nifty. No tab navigation or outlines for active elements, color contrast is low and doesn't meet WCAG AA. I've already told the Nifty team about this, so hopefully it will be improved.
Nifty helps our team stay organized, keeping track of all the work that needs to be done, and makes project management easy and fast. I like using mobile app to update tasks and record new tasks, so I don't forget. Looking forward to their API, so we can automate some workloads and connect Nifty with some of our internal tools.
i love the chat feature, it really brings the team together also sustains security. I also like how we have a near unlimited amount of boards under one portfolio. then we can set who can see what.
i dislike how i have to wait to use all the cool new features that are coming! its like christmas with everyone of their releases. My team has also informed me that they get updated about things that has nothing to do with them directly and they find it irritating. Also learning Nifty is complicated but not impossible.
the problems that nifty solves is collaboration, communication, and productivity. it helps keep the team moving. the benefits is that we can move tasks from department to department easily.
I've tried them all... Trello, Asana, Airtable, Notion and some others. The thing that makes Nifty different is that I can see everything at a quick glance, create discussions with individuals, have a Zoom call right in Nifty, and integrate the files I use all the time in GoogleDrive. I can set up milestones so the next task can't be completed without the first. I can even invite "Guests" if I'm working on a client project while also keeping my personal projects and my team's projects all separate. The "Home" dashboard is great for quick glances across all your to-dos, and you can even customize the widgets that you see on that screen. The mobile app is excellent too and great for on-the-go discussions between team members. It's really everything I ever wanted in a PM system. They thought of it all and put all the best into one platform.
I haven't encountered any downsides as of yet (I've been using Nifty for 4 months now). My only one complaint is that I don't get notified of a discussion comment from a team member in the mobile app unless I'm tagged in the comment (even when that task is just between the two of us). I've checked all my notification settings in Nifty and the mobile app, so I'm not sure if there's anything else that can be done. I just have to make sure the person tags me or I make it a point to open the app on desktop or mobile.
This is the perfect platform for communication between team members about projects and plans. It has helped me work with my own team members around the world and work with clients on separate projects. Now there's no question about when things are due, what files are needed, or what should be done first. It's all right inside Nifty.
The Nifty developers have done a lot of things right with their project management tool. What I like best is the balance they've struck between being full featured and easy to use. For example, Nifty includes all the functionality you're looking in a PM tool such a planning/scheduling, collaboration and customization; however, you don't need to spend hours reading tutorials and watching videos to learn how to use it.
One area I would like to see further development is with task descriptions. I use a lot of repeat processes in my business and would like to embed SOP's directly inside my tasks. At the moment, task description don't allow rich text or embedding of media. With that said, the Nifty development team is fast moving and receptive to suggestions. I'm confident they will continue to improve this tool as they move forward.
I run a productized service business which involves a lot of recurring tasks. I use Nifty's project templates to encapsulate these tasks so that when the need arises, I can quickly create a project based off the template without having to re-think each process. As a result, the benefits I've realized have been in the form of time savings and consistency.
The tool literally handles all aspects of our project management needs. The interface and design metaphor is very intuitive for me and the tutorials are perfect to get you started. It is a well documented, self-sustaining tool once you understand how it works.
So far I have not found anything that I don't like about the tool. Ask me again in a couple months.
We have found one tool that we can use with all or external and internal projects all in one place. I got a summary this morning from the system that was perfect in telling what tasks were past due and coming due as well as the teams over all performance.
Nifty's interface and customization is a huge plus with how easy it is to just plug and play. The G Suite integration brings so much flexibility and functionality as it allows you to directly work on docs, sheets, or other G Suite products within the Nifty platform. This means that you can maintain all that information in a centralized location. It is very easy to create tasks and see multiple views as well as transition task assignees from different views.
Nifty can be slow at times to load. Also, I do not like the fact that comments or changes within a task are not automatically notified to task members. I understand it can be overwhelming to have notifications of every change but a custom option per task would be great. The mobile app works well but it is not as intuitive as the web based version of the platform. I also would like to see better filter use of projects, workloads, and calendars.
We have multiple remote team members handling multiple projects at once. Nifty allows extreme organization of all these projects and individual changes within them. It also allows for a high level view of workloads and aids team management.
I love the way Nifty organizes my projects. It's the same way my brain works. I could have a company project that included 10 mini projects and I'd always have to create each one as it's own project. With nifty I create the master company and then inside that I can create as many individual projects as I need. Plus it has integrations and import ability and time tracking (when I remember) and I love it.
I wish the time tracking was easier to get to. I forget where it is.
I am solving the problem of my projects been scattered across Google Drive, One Drive and Drop Box. I keep (and edit) documents with the projects they belong to.
Nifty provides a robust project management tool, but the best part of it all, is it simply works, but if it doesn't, the chat support is quick to address the issue and provide solution. I think those are what makes Nifty really a product to beat. You can put all the features, the bells and whistles, but if doesn't work or there's no support, it will simply be useless. I'm glad Nifty is both working and has great support.
It's not really something I dislike, but it's something I'm really looking forward to see added in its features list, and that is task templates. Having been a very long time user of Teamwork PM, I really missed that feature as most of my projects are repetitive and having a task template that you can quickly access and add is a huge time saver.
Client communication and getting organized with all the projects is what I tried to solve with Nifty. I just find that there are many times I lost track of email threads which hurts reliability and cause a lot of problems. With Nifty, I have a central communication tool where all the discussions are saved, files, documents are organized. It just gives you the credibility and gives an impression to the client that you are taking care of the project.
The functionality and UI makes nifty stand out from all other platforms
Nothing so far. Has been extremely useful for me and my clients
Communication
