Supermetrics is a reporting platform for small to large businesses to transfer marketing data on external reporting, analytics, storage, and data visualization platforms, such as Google Sheets, Excel, DataStudio, BigQuery, and Snowflake. Supermetrics lets team members set specific metrics and dimensions to source, extract and blend data from multiple marketing platforms, including HubSpot, Facebook Ads, and Google Analytics.

I was never a fan of the GA4 layout, and getting the data we needed was challenging. Even after extensive training, I could not replicate the dashboards we had in UA. That was until we found Supermetrics. It is now super easy to create the reports once and pull all the data in my Google sheets to share with the customers.
The 10-account limit should not be there. I should be able to use the accounts I need for the day and not be asked to upgrade everytime I add an account.
We use supermetrics to track the performance of our client's websites in GA and pull that data in Google sheets to splice the data further and share our findings with the broader team. Earlier, we used to get the data from GA and manually input fields/ update them manually every day, which was a pain. This automation is a godsend.
It has all the relevant metrics and enough connectors to last for a lifetime. The settings and functionality are clear and easily modifiable. Where the competitors offer a relatively fixed solution, Supermetrics has a lot more customlizability in my opinion.
Although Supermetrics offers support and help, they don't respond well to simple requests for updates when a datasource metrics and dimensions or platform reporting changes. This is a negative since platforms and datasources keep updating all the time and Supermetrics quickly becomes outdated.
It provides a scalable way to manage data across multiple instances. Templating and automating things is very easy.
That you can quickly and in a custom way create a report which gives you a wide spread of data to analyze the performance of your campaigns. A great option is also the fact that you can set it up to refresh automatically.
That Supermetrics doesn't provide any templates of reports and doesn't have the option to create charts and so on, based on the uploaded/connected data sources.
Is solving the problems in spite of having full data report from our advertisement social channels. It helps to keep control, track the effectiveness of the campaign and afterwards make some decisions based on that.
There is a huge variety of connections available in Supermetrics. I appreciate how simple it is to use and how easy to view how many remaining connections you have as well as what is being used where.
The downside of Supermetrics is perhaps that less is included in the more basic package e.g. Twitter ads and also it needs a Twitter connector for organic content too.
Pulling in data in to one place, meaning I don't have to trawl through various different ad platforms and gather the data myself.
The integration for Google Sheets works very well. The scheduling of queries is useful. Also the amount of Looker Studio connectors is extensive.
The Looker Studio connectors can be slow from time to time. Also setting up the connection can be slow/buggy.
Getting data into Looker dashboards. Creating Google Sheets for reporting.
We started using Supermetrics in 2015. It was a before and after. What I really appreciate about Supermetrics is the flexibility it offers. I can create custom queries and reports to suit our specific needs, and the tool integrates seamlessly with Google Sheets, which is where we do most of our analysis. The scheduling and automation features have also been beneficial, saving time and ensuring that my data up-to-date. We use intensively the schedule and mailing options.
While I understand that customer support can be a challenge for any company, I think Supermetrics could do a better job in this area. When I've had issues, I've felt a bit frustrated and disappointed with the level of support I received mostly from canned answers. It can also get pricy for some specific connectors. For example, for Twitter we just need a couple of metrics (like video views) to be updated daily, but that would cost over a $1000/month
automating reports at first. Then we discovered the possibility of mailing reports. I particularly like the scheduling and automation features, which have saved me a lot of time.
It's genuinely time-saving and once it's set up, it's a powerful and convenient tool. I like it's automated refresh, and connections to Sheets/Excel/Looker Studio
It's time-consuming to learn the full possibilities of the platform - for example, it took a long time to discover there's pre-built templates in Excel. I don't recall this being mentioned during onboarding. It feels like the initial set up can be more user-friendly.
We bought Supermetrics to save time and allows people who don't know how to use social media platforms to still have instant access to the data, without going into the platforms directly themselves.
It enables you to connect platforms' data and analytics to 3rd party products you would otherwise not be able to connect. Among the selection of vendors, Supermetrics is the most reliable and flexible.
Because platforms change their data layers from time to time, you need to update your Supermetrics connections to follow these changes. It can be annoying at times, but doesn't take long to fix.
With Supermetrics, we are able to connect SoMe platforms data sources (LinkedIn and LinkedIn Ads, Facebook and Facebook Ads) ,to a consolidated Google Data Studio dashboard to see everything neatly in one place.
Being able to pull data from mulitple channels to build reports and have a source of truth
- Doesn't pull in discovery campaigns from Google Ads - Sometimes there are glitches with automatic updating failing
It is able to be a temporary ETL to pull in platform metrics across multiple different tools. This helps give us a realistic picture of how our marketing activity is contributing across all platforms for one single view.
- Very insightful - Great customer service
- Queries broke often - Would like to see a Shopfiy query
Rather than needing to go into the individual digital ad channels, Supermetrics allowed me to directly pull the information into a spreadsheet and run various calculations.
Hourly refreshing for reports, it's the best on the market.
Confusing price structure. Entry level is very expensive. Can't pull a report that combines multiple sources with a metrics column i.e. Google, Facebook, Bing. Step up from Google sheets to Looker is a big price difference.
Budget pacing for company accounts
Ability to automate a lot of data into an easy to use platform.
Pricing model across data studio and google sheets
Solving problems that Google Analytics leaves but not being as easy to delve into the data and customise.
Easy to get up and running The only tool I'm aware of that enabled me to solve a problem we had, quickly and easily Connects to a variety of tools (Sheets, BigQuery, Looker, etc) so can be used by Data and non-Data teams
It's very expensive for what we use it for We had a discount code, but our account manager wouldn't let us apply it and things ended up being more a hindrance to us buying than a help.
Measuring and tracking organic social media performance in an automated way
My Looker connection enables me to build automated reports instead of trawling through social platforms and downloading countless .csv files. It makes the reporting process so much more efficient.
Glitches are often present, which means I have to submit IT tickets to resolve the issues. However, sometimes they fix themselves on their own! Just double check the data that is being pulled.
Long gone are the days of spending hours and hours on monthly and weekly reporting. It's so much faster now and having a dashboard means that stakeholders around the business can jump in and pull data themselves without having to request it.
The comprehensiveness of all the different integrations it offers for Data Studio.
The pricing and how long it can take for a Facebook ad account to start showing up as a connection in Data Studio.
Being able to make connections to data sources that Data Studio doesn't offer.
Easy, straightforward to use. I like its support process too.
I would not say dislike but it will be great if you can have phone support and also allow data transformation layer.
I needed Google adwords data in google sheet, that is all it is providing me right now.
Easy to connect to multiple marketing sources, and reduce the time required to produce marketing reporting.
Connectors default to including all available metrics, and many connectors can be slow to pull in data. When we have sheets or data studio reports including several active connectors, the overall report load can be very slow.
Supermetrics helps remove time required to collect data from marketing sources and data platforms. Allowing a bigger focus on interpretation, analysis and recommendations.
It's useful for connecting our data in Looker Studio from multiple accounts and ad platforms. It's saved us time and freed up more room for higher priority work.
It's a bit more complex than you'd like when blending multiple data sources, and would expect the platform to do more of the heavy lifting for you. However, it is still possible to do if you find a work around.
It's time saving as we don't need to manually pull the data from the advertising accounts. It's making our team more productive and providing stakeholders with an easy view of data without teams having to manually pull stats.
Most connectors are available, from website to social to DSP's. Also, there is a separate Supermetrics connector for Google Analytics which also includes Assisted Conversions. This is not possible with the standard GA connector.
There are different price plans for Google Datastudio, Google Spreadsheets, Big Querry, etc. We are using all the connectors for GDS and GSS, which can be quite expensive.
We use Google Datastudio for almost all our reporting with clients. For website analytics, but also for all our campaigns. Supermetrics makes it possible to connect all these different channels in 1 dashboard. This saves us hours of manual reporting per month.
The ability to pull and consolidate data from multiple platforms gives you blended performance metrics and easier comparison metrics to view how your overall business is trending.
It can be more challenging to visualize the data than some of the other plug and play reporting platforms. While the capability is there, it definitely takes more initial work to get the reporting in place where it's presentation ready.
Having visibility into performance across multiple channels without having to go directly into each channel has been very helpful. Also, the ability to aggregate metrics to view overall performance and trends instead of just siloed data.
