Incorporation of some tools, like .Trends, into other tools are a bit spendy when it's available as a whole from other metrics tools. It would also be nice to compile different data sets into one customizable report too.

Being bale to monitor social media campaigns, along with competitors' social media, is invaluable. Also, the value of parsing data into a logical comprehension for stakeholders outside of the realm of SEO cannot be overstated.

No major downsides that I've noticed in my three months of using the software so far - one potential factor is the price (I think it's a bit more expensive than Ahrefs as a basic subscriber with two users), and the other one is that Ahref's DR rating seems to be more of an industry standard that SEMRush's DA rating for evaluating websites

The terms used on the site can be very overwhelming at first, but they have a bunch of video tutorials to understand their terminology. I wouldn't say I liked the acronyms used at first, but a quick google search can help you familiarize yourself with them.

The interface is the most helpful thing about the tool. Compared to competitors, its much more visually appealing, highlighting your next steps easily and signposting related features.

Honestly, its biggest drawback is the price. It's costly even compared to similar products. While I do believe its worth the cost, a lot of companies may not have the budget for such tool.

Semrush keeps all my needs met in one place. I can complete a strategy all in one tool; it provides excellent keyword recommendations, a topline view of a website's current rankings and even content analysis that compares to competitors. It's rare to have a tool that gives you the capability of forming a full strategy without the need to switch to another tool.

Semrush offer really easy-to follow tutorials on all-things SEO. I came as a beginner and now feel like I'm an intermediate, but with lots still to learn. By far the best SEO software going.

The only problem is the pricing, it's pretty expensive as an investment. I'd say only purchase a license if you have your own website that you're looking to make as SEO friendly as possible.
