The agent stayed on the line made sure the issue was completely resolved - which took aver an hour.
Spoke with 2-3 people before getting the right associate to help.
Incoming calls and messages as well as faxing
This application help us a lot to reach worker's at US while recruiting. And we can also make conference calls within this. When we had an issue the resolution team are very helpful and supportive to clear it up.
The cost/budget is high so that our company used to ask us to convey the text in simple way. So, budget is the main concern on this one and as the company norms we're working with this application.
Connecting with people, worker's made easy over this application. It is very friendly application in easy connecting with candidates at my work place. It have easy calls, conference calls, text messages as well.
easy to learn - easy to acces what you need!
Storring phone numbers can be confusing - not understanding
all access is right there together
I can call, fax, text and do video meetings
Customer service can be challenging sometimes reaching the correct person.
One application to use for communicating via multiple channels.
I found the product intuitive and very easy to use. I use it to answer calls on my radio/media streaming program, and it works very well.
I want the option to have a window that shows all calls that are held with names with the ability to add and subtract them to the call selectively.
I needed to bring in calls into my Wirecast broadcast software and did that successfully.
The hold music is nice. It's fairly easy to set up and understand very complex ways of what phones will ring when different buttons are pushed and it's easy to keep track of phone use and easy to access and download recordings
It went down or the setti gs randomly changed or needed to be fixed allllll the time. The amount of hours I spent on the phone with customer service... Oh my God. They were usually very nice and tried to be helpful but it was simply rediculous each time they had to go thru for hours and figure out exactly what changed and sometimes they accidentally changed one thing and no one could be transferred correctly. It was... A lot. But honestly I've tried other soft phones since and this may have actually been the best
It's easy to keep track of callers and recordings once you set up the buttons for transfer and hours and options and what phones ring when it's actually a very solid system that made the call center run smoothly (most of the time)
I love the customization of the product. I get to choose hold music, how the phone is answered. I can put callers on hold and pick up from another device. I can send and receive text messages. All around it's a great tool for the small business owner.
the only thing i don't like is the cost. For the solopreneur, we are forced to have two lines to get the plan that includes texting. It is an additional cost and that hurts as a small business.
MVP helps me to appear like a bigger company. I have access to features and solutions that normally don't exist for small businesses. I love putting a customer on hold and hearing positive comments when I return.
RingCentral allows for our remote team to access and manage all of the incoming calls and texts we receive to the organization. Our clients can call us via RingCentral, leave a voicemail, and we respond by either calling them back or sending a text message. Overall using the platform is very easy and user-friendly. What's great about it is that multiple people can log in and use the platform at once.
Searching for messages in RingCentral can be difficult, as it doesn't show the most recent messages first. It can also be hard to hear during phone calls through the platform at times.
With RingCentral, we don't have to have a designated administrator answering phones for our organization all day. It allows us to split this responsibility, interact with clients via phone and text, and save a lot of staff time.
The ability to not have physical phones. The mobile app looks nice and has nice tools. It's a great idea.
Our salespeople are always on the move using WiFi. This may not be all RC's fault, but the reliability is so bad for some of our salespeople that they have just stopped using the app when they're not at their desks. This causes a lot of different issues (not using something we're paying for, their numbers not hitting our KPI reporting software, etc.)
RC is solving the problem most freight brokers have paying for lots of physical phones and then having a noisy office, which is unpleasant for many people, especially for those not in sales.
RingCentral is excellent. We can download the app on our phones if we cannot use our phones because we lost power or anything. If we need to work from home, we also have that option instead of having teammates and clients have our personal telephone numbers.
I wish you could save the numbers that you frequently fax to. The fax-out feature, while significant, has flaws. You don't find out until after that the fax did not send for whatever reason.
RingCentral is an answering service for us at night. We have 3rd shift employee's and if they need to call out for any reason, we have the answering service to take a message for us to follow up.
I liked the ability to add a huge range of SIP phones also the app is so freindly. Its very cheap because it offer unlimited phone calls in the US and Canada.
I would like to see more options and improvent in the video conference similar to microsoft team and zoom.
Ringcentral is very helpful to communicate with customers over internet and it provide us the ability work from home without any problem ( cloud base).
I love that it can be used anywhere and that you can answer your calls on your desk phone, your cell phone and even your laptop. The interoffice instant messaging feature and texting is also great.
There are some issues with call handling, when I ask it to ring my cell first, it doesn't. When I ask it to ring all my lines at once, it doesnt. It used to, but has stopped doing so.
It is solving our telephone communication issues by providing us with a portable phone solution so that we can be reachable at all hours no matter where we are by our employees and clients.
The connection is reliable, it seems to be the most user friendly of all the meeting apps that I've used.
Sometimes it takes a while to connect, but otherwise that's about it!
N/A
Overall, it gets the job done! Based on what I reviewed when doing my original search, RingCentral was one of the companies with brand recognition. It was interesting to see that they've branched into conferencing but were also doing so at a comparable price. We were heavily price-driven with our decision so the team was extremely flexible in that regard. I also enjoy the controls and flexibility for meetings of over 10 people. We have a global remote team where multiple team syncs and cross-functional meetings will host over 10 participants. The flexibility and controls for a meeting host in these scenarios are pretty useful. Multiple apps - we don't provision Macs or PCs specifically but allow our employees to pick based on personal preference. Both types of operating system have functional apps and the interface when using a Mac to talk to PC is crisp.
One downside of RingCentral Meetings is the overall user experience. Having used tools in the past like Zoom and Google Hangouts, I was expecting a bit more ease-of-use when it came to features like screen sharing or sharing host permissions. It hasn't been as intuitive in-meeting compared to tools I've used in the past. Static text - the overall web-layout and management of settings can be a bit confusing. It feels like the part of the site that is meant for managing Meetings was designed in the 90s.
We were a global growing company before, during, and after COVID. One thing we needed to sustain our growth was a flexible way for our employees to collaborate without meeting in-person. Even as we continue with a hybrid working model, it's still a great way for our employees to get business done. Cost and long-term savings. We will have a need for a solution like RingCentral for as long as our business exists. One thing we appreciate is the cost flexibility and peace of mind that as we scale, our best interest is at heart with our account management team.
