One of the best features of the app is the ability to track and keep progress on referrals. In the past, it was mostly done via email and word of mouth but with an online tracker, it allows you easily refer back to referrals during the hiring process.
The resume parser can be a little buggy at times at picking up information from the resume but this could just be attributed to the different ways people format their own resumes.
Recruiting is a surprisingly expensive and all hands on deck process, and with a tool like Greenhouse, it allows you to streamline it as much as you can. Getting a lot of heads involved can be difficult but Greenhouse lets you do everything online so that people can offer input on the recruiting process while still focusing on their own work.
It's cloud-based and designed with the user in mind.
The candidate scorecard could be more concise.
Before Greenhouse, it was impossible to track a candidate's process and coordinate with other interviewers on the same candidate. Also, our previous system did not do a good job of restricting access to candidate info. Greenhouse solved all of these issues.

I love how easy it is to refer new hires, track the recruitment process, and conduct performance evaluations. It's super intuitive and a clean user interface.
The only thing that I don't like about the product is not being able to send referral notes if a prospective hire has submitted through my link. I can only make comments if I submit the resume on my own.

Love the clean look and feel. It's build logically, which makes it easy to find what you're looking for.
One minor dislike is that the scorecard has 5 options from, "strong yes", "yes", "mixed", "no", "strong no". I think it could be simplified to "yes" "mixed" and "no", but that's a minor personal preference.
Solving for a way to track applicants and remembering details associated with each candidate. This ATS solves for my problem and makes it easy to navigate through each phase our candidates go through.

Cannot create custom reports. Would be great to be able to combine reports and choose which fields/items you want.
Consistency with interviews: the interview kits/scorecards have allowed us to be consistent with the questions we ask, helping increase candidate experience.
Greenhouse is easily customizable and works well even when you have hiring managers with very different needs.
There are a few features that we have asked to be added to the Greenhouse updates roadmap, but they are all very minor and very much specific to our needs.
Greenhouse helps us keep track of our timelines and lets us know when a candidate has been in one stage for too long.
Greenhouse is incredibly intuitive and helps teams outline and move seamlessly though the interview process.
There have been some recent interface changes that have made things a bit more difficult to find in some cases, but other than that it's been a perfect tool for us.
Before Greenhouse we were doing everything via spreadsheet and gmail. This has 100% changed the way we approach recruiting and has helped us to scale our recruiting efforts as we grow.

My group specifically does not use this software everyday. It's only great for me to refer others to my company.
Tracks internal referrals
I like how I'm able to see how many jobs an applicant applied to right from their profile.
I don't like having to go through every single resume 1 by 1. Our previous system had a preview option once you hover over their name.
We've elevated the hiring experience for hiring candidates, hiring managers and interview teams. We're also able to track everything all in one system and we weren't able to do that before. Also, getting interview feedback after the candidates have interviewed is super convenient to have in the system as well. Before, we were shuffling through emails or trying to remember verbally what the hiring manager or interviewer said about that candidate and if they wanted to move forward.
The ease of use and the ability to track candidate and interviewer feedback. I've used Greenhouse as an interviewer for almost two years now and it's been a great experience so far.
Nothing really comes to mind to be entirely honest. As an interviewer, I'm not able to comment directly on what makes Greenhouse terrible. I have to use Greenhouse as that is the software of choice that the recruiting team has decided makes the most sense for candidate tracking.

greenhouse makes it easy to gather and chase down feedback. it is a good tool for a collaborative recruiting effort and makes it easy to work with your team front-to-back (hiring managers, other recruiters, sourcers, coordinators, etc.)
reporting on greenhouse is a pretty big mess. it is hard to change interview stages without screwing up reporting across the company. it also lags pretty often and is cumbersome when you want to make similar changes to a few different (but similar) jobs. It would be better if you could enact changes to multiple jobs at once (add interview teams and/or add default interviewers for multiple jobs at once). I would also like the ability to follow up with emails sent through greenhouse in the same chain. It would be great to be able to reply on an interview request I send to a candidate when I haven't heard from them

I like that it's so simple to navigate to candidates who I have interviewed and I like how intuitive the candidate ratings are. I also appreciate that I can opt in or opt out of notifications for candidates I refer or interview.

Being involved in the recruiting and interviewing process is so simple because greenhouse is intuitive and easy to use. There was no learning curve, no wasted time.
