I have been using Constant Contact for 20 years. I use it for all my e-blasts and have even had a custom template developed.
Occasionally an email provider either "blocks" constant contact, or its reporting feature.
Constant Contact helps me reach my customer base - which is geographically large - without always having "boots on the ground" or travelling salespeople.
Constant Contact is easy to use. Setting up groups, adding contacts, sending out emails is easy.
Wanting to delete an entire contact list to start over 'clean' - i don't think there is a way to do that.

I can quickly produce attractive emails based on their templates and other layout options. I have no email design training and could figure it out myself.

Lately, it's been the load times. Ever since their re-design, the load times for practically anything you do, including logging in, the load times have significantly increased.
We used to use a home grown e-commerce solution, using old ASP code. We've been using Constant Contact now for years, and it's taken all that nonsense and old code away from our hands.
We send weekly emails to our loyal customers and get orders every time we send out an email campaign.
It would be better if Constant Contact didn't charge more for having more customers on the email list. It needs more seasonal templates.

ConstantContact is an excellent email solution for small business. We run a coffee shop, both physical and online store, and we use the segmenting feature and integration into Shopify all the time to make our email communications seamless.
I do wish we could have a deeper segmentation into Shopify. If ContstantContact were able to read Shopify categories and import things like average order value, last product purchased, etc. It would be hugely beneficial.

It is easy to use, and I like having my email newsletters and social media scheduling all in one place. Creating/adding contacts is quick and easy.
I wish that there were more ways to visually edit email templates, more medical-type email templates. I wish that when a social media post bounces and cannot post for whatever reason, the system would notify you via email so you can fix the issue. It is a real pain when you log on and see your post from a few days ago failed on several platforms!
Mass marketing as we are not really in the right industry for social media marketing to benefit us a ton.
Working with the templates is extremely easy. Additionally, the design feature incorporates brand colors to strengthen our corporate image. Contact list tools help us to maintain active contacts and break down demographics for higher efficiency emails. The URL hotlink for sent emails is also fantastic! It's an extremely helpful feature/link to include in personal client emails (who are not on the distribution list) or within social media posts.
Inability to test A/B subject lines with auto resend feature. Inability to make corrections to an email within the auto-resend feature. Sent campaigns can be filed within a folder, but it does not remove them from an email from the full campaign list. For example, when filing an email message within Outlook into a folder, the email message is no longer viewable in the inbox.
Resending unopened emails (huge time saver). Helping us evaluate which subject lines are most effective and offering auto suggestions (what we believe will resonate with clients isn't always the case. We've used the CC auto subject line generator to test what information prompts our contact to open the email. Keeping our contact list clean and up-to-date (or emails are only as effective as our contact list).
I love how easy it is to use constant contact. The templates are great for making each monthly email I send look fresh and new.
It sometimes freezes and I lose what I am typing.

Constant Contact is easy and simple to use. We love that we can create drip campaigns, automate emails and announcements, and copy old campaigns as well. Definitely would recommend!
I wish the layouts were a bit more complac or allowed for more customization sometimes. I wish there was a way to play videos right in the email instead of having to use links.
