Straightforward and user friendly. Decent bang for the buck. Excellent LIVE customer service during business hours. Derek K. at BigTime support is an excellent addition to the time as he completely understands the general gist of the software without having to refer to cheat sheet and on those answers he doesn't have, he quickly researches the answers and follows up when promised. Also appreciate the customization options available with BigTime.
It's taken a while for Bigtime to get its customer service team in tip top shape, but in terms or allocated resources (not having live people or enough people to service the customer base) as well as in individual knowledge base and service level. Over the years of working with Bigtime I've come across a few positive service-based techs and a few great knowledge-based reps, but never one with both the combined attributes as well as availability and follow-up as Derek K.
Time tracking, budgeting, invoicing, limited project management
The ability to rename fields (Lexicon) /option to customize your experience. The ability to customize reports. The ability to customize it for each user, vs. only having the option of canned settings for a group of users. I REALLY enjoyed the enthusiasm and appreciated our trainers knowledge of the software, and her attention to detail and follow up.
Pending an upgrade this week: the lack of ability to have a budget reoccur on recurring projects. There are so many features to learn, I am afraid the learning curve might be large. I do appreciate that there are so many options for budgets, but I am also confused by it and will need to go through a billing cycle to see how it goes. I wish there was a follow up training 45 days into having the software. So you could go through a full billing cycle and list questions to ask Best Practices questions.
How to set up Projects, Tasks, and Subtasks. We have been going back and forth about taking out a layer and moving Tasks to the Project level. The benefit IS the ability to customize it and make it work for our company's needs.
Thoroughness of time tracking, tracking of budgets to actuals, utilization and realization, dashboards, graphics
Some functionality is buried - prefer contact list to be further upfront
Better time tracking through to billing; engagement management; better utilization of staff
I like its ease of use and its solid and flexible interface, the first time I used BigTime it was very pleasant because it is a friendly tool that solves problems for managing and monitoring projects and being able to automate effectively.
I had problems at first with some of its functions like exporting to Excel and compatibility issues with Windows 10, but they could be solved with support.
Being able to keep everything organized was what I needed, so it helps me a lot in managing and monitoring projects.
I am a previous user of Deltek and Oracle products for similar applications. BigTime has been easier to use and provides much of the same PM benefits.
Positive experience so far but I wish you could add batch changes to the Task Editor to be able to change multiple task settings.
Using BigTime has helped keep better track of General Overhead and pursuit projects. It would normally be a headache to create small projects in other software but very easy with your software.
If you currently have Quick Books, this is a beautiful addition. Project management features are integrated with your current accounting program. It is not difficult to study and implement. It is adaptable for people who travel far away. As a brand new small business, it's much less burdensome than previous business aid plans.
You have to look at it to see if existing methods can be used, not information to understand sales reps' brand-new information.
Compared to almost all other applications, Time focuses much more on our business (construction companies). We believe that supporting all our projects and our monetary goals is beneficial to the organization.
Great customer service available on the live chat. Always have been extremely helpful to resolve my issues and answer my user questions. The software had great reporting and does the job overall.
I truly can not think of anything specific. I wish there were classes available to give a primer of the software to new users. It's quite intuitive, but it'd be awesome to have more guidance at the opening of the account, such as point me to basics video's. etc. It'd be nice to have also the clock in and clock out feature.
BigTime helps us record our employees time worked, per hours worked, per contract and labor category and per day. It supports our clients' invoicing as well as our payroll functions
Timesheet and expense tracker and Customized invoice templates are the best features.
That you have to draft the invoice in BT, then export it to QBO. That both BT and QBO do invoicing is great, but also confusing. BT is not an accounting program, so should leave that to QBO.
Time tracking. Invoicing. A/R and budget management. I can actually track them now, whereas before the software used was not robust enough to allow me to see and report accurately to my clients.
BigTime serves us best with comprehensive time management and billing, as well as transaction requirements. We find QuickBooks integration not only beneficial but important, and it will save us many times. I also love the interface - easy to use.
It also lacks some basic features, including the ability to place multiple products on a single invoice. Some customers receive five to twelve separate bills.
We can send invoices to our customers efficiently and quickly by sending BigTime e-mails immediately.
Compared to various other methods that I have noticed, BigTime has a user-friendly interface that is attractive to use. We can collect many data points to get an accurate picture of our activities and our time on each activity. BigTime has many reporting features that are fantastic for internal analysis and billing. BigTime's price tag is helpful. Access to BigTime is easy through an Internet browser, rather than downloading the application to our computer.
BigTime page sometimes loads for a very long time
This allows me to monitor various projects and customers quickly. As long as I accompany you almost all morning, there is not much time for another problematic task!
Cloud-based and integrates with Quick Books pc. Simple for owners to start utilizing with assistance from our office. Many brief movies with user directions. The invoices are in one booklet with receipts included if they must be submitted to clients. At a glance, you are able to find out exactly how lucrative the job is. Lots of reporting options, I'm a brand-new user and I am still learning to work with all of the reporting choices.
It will be great to simply click an entered time in a report and also have many entries in that particular month, populate.
BigTime is much better-tailored for our small business compared to almost all other software. We feel that it will be extremely advantageous for tracking our financial goals on each task and throughout our entire company.
The ability to list the prospects with names is extremely useful for staff analysis meetings. Many accounts can be extracted and filtered and sorted. For anyone who uses this feature to get the working status, it is seriously helpful. The functions of this unit are not used to max by my office, but they work for us.
I could not do much for the current Gantt chart structure, though I am sorry it could not like additional papers be shipped overseas to brilliance. The weakest connection with this particular unit is as effective as certainly. It is also difficult to fully participate in my bureau and prevents us from using it.
We solve workflow problems and project management that we have experienced using other software types. We also benefit from the integration of Quickbooks, since we used this for our software for years. Another software just could not integrate with Quickbooks the way we considered necessary it just like bigtime is.
For staff analysis meetings, the capabilities to bring out work prospect lists with names are extremely handy. You can extract and filter many accounts as well as sort them from them. It's seriously handy for all those that utilize this feature to get the work status. My office doesn't utilize the functions of this unit to the max, but functions for us.
I couldn't make use of a lot of for probably the latest Gantt chart function, but I'm saddened that it can't be exported to excellence like additional papers. It is just as powerful as probably the weakest link with this particular unit. Full participation in my office is difficult as well as stops us from making complete use of it.
Honestly, BigTime is great program for what anyone knows the way to work with a PC to do as well as is uncomplicated to make use of. We could observe a long time of tasks per individual to assist us estimate costs. I'm certain there are lots of excellent systems available, but while working with BigTime, I was thrilled with the responsibility of mine.
ease - simplicity of interface. Quick support for any questions.
I would like to see the Audit log I entered in case I forgot something.
timesheet only at this point.
Our trainer was patient and knowledgeable. He took the time to answer every question asked of him.
So far I don’t see anything I dislike about BigTime.
Once we implement BigTime I anticipate communication and productivity to increase.
BigTime is great for automating your time keeping and project work. Time entry is easy, our project numbers are automatically assigned which virtually eliminates mistakes. Staff finds it very easy to enter time and the managers appreciate the reports that are pulled to verify time.
Some reports can't be customized in a way that is helpful and there are limitations to the software.
Our project numbers are automated which has eliminated entry mistakes.
That you can track time by tasks. The timer is also a nice feature.
Such a small detail, but I wish I didn't have to horizontally scroll to see entire task dashboard.
Employees are more accurately keeping track of their time.
Big Time works for us efficiently because we have detailed time management, detailed costs and price requirements. Integration with QB is not only beneficial but also important and saves me a lot of valuable time. I love the user interface too - it is easy to use.
Some reports can be a bit inconvenient to change. Some accounting activities can be additionally boring. This is a good utility for me, but generally not the most self-explanatory. I still find buttons and things I've never seen before.
This system has enabled us to speed up accounting, time and price processes. Integration with QB is very important for our company and BigTime is actually the best screen we have discovered.
The set up was quick and easy. The training provided was very helpful.
If you are using BigTIme with QuickBooks, there really aren't any downsides.
Time and expense entry for staff, invoice generation, project / budget tracking. Ability to customize reports with a "point and click" report builder is great.
Intuitive and easily customisable to be able to set up best for our particular business.
No real dislikes. The live chat feature has remedied any concerns I've had.
Colleagues and myself are much better at tracking time now that we have a user-friendly software.
