That I able able to see how long it takes me to complete tasks, and have a realistic plan for the next day. I am forever late to appointments bc I don’t realize how much time I spend on each task.
Had a glitch and had to back log everything which was frustrating and could have been costly if it was not caught.
I am on time to appointments bc I can plan accurately and accordingly.
It is handy and easy to use for time monitoring. The time sheets are the best feature it has as it gives you the overview of your working hours. Also, it has various other features which makes it easy for both employers and employee.
The break timing are marked within shorter duration and it can be a hassle for the people working on different systems or while being in discussion.
It is basically used for employee monitoring in my company.
I've had to use Time Doctor to keep track of work done at the last company I worked for and I must say, it's pretty annoying. As far as it's functionality goes, it does work as it's supposed to. The problem is that it can easily be worked around by creating a macro.
Design-wise, it's not very intuitive to work with and gets a little annoying with a timer displaying on your screen at all times. It should be minimized and used in the background.
Time Doctor helps optimize small business expenditure on labor costs with some added functionality like privacy invasion which might not be the right move. The benefits here are, obviously, saving money at the cost of employee satisfaction with trust.
Screenshots and time tracking. Those are the things I like.
Errors, it has a lot of errors especially for MAC users
Productivity. Logins and logouts
i don't mind the idea of being monitored
i dislike the "screen share" feature - especially where my students' faces are concerned i dislike how time summary is incorrect on the following day - when using 2 monitors
as a teacher who is always "on the clock" - i don't feel that time doctor solves any of my virtual teaching problems
The ability to watch where most of your time is spent throughout the workday. Can help with time management and monitoring your computer activity while at work, especially in a remote work environment where a lot of what you do is independent. You are held more accountable and this helps with that.
There are some functions on Time Doctor that just do not work with Mac computers. Screenshots, which isn't a big deal because I am not a fan of them. The clicks and typing sometimes do not register accurately and show as having little to no activity. Certain versions of TD will crash on me constantly, but the one I am using right now is fine. v0.19.09.
A majority of our company's employees are remote, so it definitely helps with managing productivity and monitoring/tracking it as well. I can see how this can be especially helpful for supervisor and managers.
It's easy to use and available on many platforms.
It has too many limitations and there may be privacy issues.
Improvements in productivity are likely.
I initially got fairly quick response time to questions.
There seemed to be discrepancies that were not very well explained. There was also an incident where my time did not record and there was a problem on their end and I could not recover the information. I had to rebuild my time line of work to justify my pay and still lost some earnings because of that. Staff was not helpful at all at that point and we discontinued business with them.
We were using it to login admin time for our pet sitting/dog walking business. It was useful in tracking time, however we soon found discrepancies.
My camera shots are not working so I am only being evaluated on my screenshots.
I am a few versions behind because any time I update I get repeated crashes. This software is NOT Mac friendly. I haven’t had camera shots in over a year. I answer emails all. Day. Long. Yet when I check my keyboard strokes I will have 8-12 only.
For my department, none that I can see.
Screenshots are helpful, easy to switch between tasks to track
Their software suddenly stops tracking time and you won't notice unless you actually review EACH entry EVERY SINGLE DAY. It's a pain! They promised a fixed several times but still haven't really fixed aything
As a business, it's great to know how your employees are tracking time. As an employee, using this software is beyond frustrating since at the back of your head, you never know if they tracked your work hours logged right.
I am not happy at all and have asked for them to close the account.
Ignorant person working there. I would not treat customer like that. If you don't trust customers then don't have your business.
Obtuse answers and a lack of trust given to the customer.
