I am extremely satisfied with the exceptional support and outstanding performance they offer. The support team is always responsive, knowledgeable, and goes above and beyond to assist with any issues or inquiries. The performance of their services is top-notch, providing fast and reliable infrastructure that consistently meets my expectations. I highly recommend DigitalOcean for their remarkable support and impressive service performance.
While DigitalOcean has many advantages, it's important to acknowledge a couple of limitations. One downside is the limited flexibility in terms of memory and processing combinations. Depending on your specific requirements, you may find it challenging to fine-tune the allocation of resources to match your needs precisely. Another drawback is the pricing structure when a droplet (virtual machine) is powered off. DigitalOcean charges for the allocated resources even if the droplet is not actively running. This can be a disadvantage if you frequently need to pause or turn off your droplets to save costs. Despite these limitations, DigitalOcean still offers a robust cloud platform with excellent support and performance. It's important to consider your specific use case and evaluate whether these disadvantages significantly impact your workflow before making a decision.
With DigitalOcean, you can quickly create and configure droplets without the need for complex setup processes. This benefits users by saving time and making it simpler to run their applications or websites in the cloud. In terms of security, DigitalOcean offers various features to protect your droplets and data. They provide firewall options to control incoming and outgoing network traffic, ensuring only authorized connections are allowed. DigitalOcean also offers private networking, which allows you to isolate your droplets from the public internet and enhance the security of your infrastructure.
D.O has good price and good availability of services.
I have everything I need there. Nothing to dislike
Fast to start a VM and deploy my app

Making droplets and market place ready bundled applications easily accessible and deployable.
I like the simplicity and easiness of the platform, well priced and fantastic support. I live the marketplace access that comes with pre-installed technology stack and setups.
I don't find there is any downside of using digital ocean, its all well packaged and built. I just feel they should add a lot more day to day tools in the marketplace bundle that we can just click to install and configure
helps me deploy my systems faster and instant scabality to add more storage, cpu and other resources. I love the fact its so transparent with its resources and no hidden costs that suprise
I have been using it for years. The interface is so easy to navigate, find and use services. Clear pricing strategy. Both affordable and reliable service. The site is thoroughly informative and provides solutions for many issues.
I can't remember anything which, from my point of view requires attention.
It provides reliable service and excellent support when needed. Options to build infrastructure with a few clicks.
When I decided to move all of our websites from a major web host to our own servers, Digital Ocean made the move easy. Their servers continue to stay online and are very cost-effective.
Nothing. Everything is great! I have no issues that I can report against Digital Ocean! There is nothing to dislike! I like it all. No improvements are needed at all, ever.
I was able to move away from a web host that had nothing but problems and horrible customer service to a server company that cares and has excellent customer service!
Easy scaling your IT infrastructure. Good price and user-friendly dashboard.
Actually, i didn't find any cons of DigitalOcean
We have created crypto-analytics platform with DigitalOcean.
Easy to configure the droplets(servers) with lots of tutorials on configuration. Mail , database, FTP and SSL are easy to integrate. seperate database and Easy backup
Domain name and Windows Servers are not available. Moreover database price is little higher side.
We are depending for hosting website and application software with database. We are benefitted with cost ,pricing and time.
Everything is uncomplicated. Google cloud and AWS have so many bells and whistles that it can make your experience difficult. DO's interface is super easy to use.
So far everything has just worked. Backups are ready. Console is easy to use and web friendly. It is so easy to use that I have never had to contact support.
I use it mostly to host Wordpress servers. My servers are always up and running so it gives piece of mind. Backups are really easy to setup too so I feel backed up by a reliable company.
Get things running in a few clicks. From deployment to configuration changes, it is easy to implement what you need to get your app running.
Would like to see import tools, since it's hard to find problems with digital ocean. For example, if I move a customer from dream host to digital ocean, it would be nice to have a wizard to help.
Quick deployment and easily run proof of concepts.
DigitalOcean is an excellent platform for cloud computing. DigitalOcean provides scalable VPS (Virtual Private Server) where we can host our Web applications, database applications and other services.
There are almost all good things about DigitalOcean. I don't think there is anything I dislike about it. They can improve their costing structure so small and medium size companies can benefit from it.
I use DigitalOcean for my VPS hosting. DigitalOcean is more scalable and flexible; initially, we can start with low configuration and storage. Then, if we need more storage, computation power, and memory, we can upgrade it on the same VPS. DigitalOcean is the best in the market and is supported globally.
Digital Ocean supports infrastructure for small and large-scale business websites with low-cost, highly secure and scalable environments. Digital Ocean monitors and maintains our infrastructure with zero downtime.
Based on our requirements DigitalOcean supports everything. But they need to add more services and products like other competitors.
We are developing websites for our small scale customers based on our customer budget. Digital ocean provides infrastructure for us.
Straightforward and intuitive menu. Not endlessly layered.
Easy operation, clear and intuitive menu
Easy to use, updated.
Simple and quick to setup what I need for my business. And I never have to guess what my bill will be!
I think DigitalOcean is missing only an AWS Lambda competitive product. I believe an excellent way to compete would allow Managed Kubernetes to set a cap on scalability. So during peak times, there are always servers ready. Also, that way, a customer will know the cost on a busy day.
Servers and Cloud-based services with high availability.
I have been able to set up any resources I need and when I have run into questions I don't know a solution for, I have always been able to find a "how-to" document.
I really haven't found any thing I dislike about DigitalOcean.
I use the storage solution as a CDN; I use a VPN for a private web-based application; and I host my church's website on the IAAS product. I also use DigitalOcean to host all of my DNS services
I like the flexibility of the platform, the speed of deployment, the speed of work, reasonable prices.
I would like to see more locations of the northern sites.
Rapid deployment of dropslets and their backup.
Easy dashboard and the administration is simple and be quickly deploys new services for our customers.
For the moment nothing, because is a great solution for small and big business.
The cloud solution for our customers.
For me, the value that I receive is very good. The pricing is clearly stated so I have never had to contend with surprise changes. The server has been reliable. Notices of any maintenance related outages are clearly shared ahead of time. In the end, I don't have to worry about surprises.
I have not experienced anything that I do not like about Digital Ocean. For me, I get what I expect and have not had to report many issues. When I have, I can count on a quick reply.
I run a business web application that helps to run our business. As a non-profit, reliability and price are important to me. I feel that Digital Ocean gives me good value for my money and a service that I can count on.
The user interface by far, is the standout item to me. This is because there is never really a question of whether something does the thing you want or is the thing you are looking for. It is clean, clear and understandable, from launching a particular service to understanding your billing. I have been using DigitalOcean for a long time, and I have watched them add so many services to the platform; usually, with the addition of services, there is a degradation in usability due to the complexities introduced with each, but at every step, they have put thought and time into the design. As I switched from more traditional server-based setups to App Platform, I can honestly say that that was the easiest and smoothest transfer I have done.
There aren't too many downsides that I have run into. In most cases they listen to their community and provide updates regularly. The only gripe I would have (and I am really stretching here) is that sometimes their documentation can be lacking key specifications and I have to rely on the community for answers.
I needed a platform to host my upcoming AI-based app from frontend to middleware to backend with databases, block storage and machine learning. I didn't want all of my technology in different servers, on different platforms, and custom-created to run on a particular infrastructure. As such, DigitalOcean provided me with all of the above and made it next to seamless to integrate with each other.
I really like the App Platform. Fot its price its with no competition.
I would appreciate more choice of locations for running servers and other things.
We don't have physical servers, we only use the cloud.
