We moved to Kinsta 3 years ago for all of our businesses because we wanted to go with the absolute best hosting and not have to worry ever again about stability, uptime, scaling, and speed. Besides the speed and customers support, I love the dashboard, 1-click staging, multiple backup methods, built-in CDN, and redirects.
There's not much to dislike, however, I'm looking forward to Kinsta adding custom CNAMES to their CDN.
We were ultimately looking for the best performance web host and saw immediate decrease in load times for all of our sites.
Easy migration service. Fast hosting Staging site
There is nothing so far that I dislike about it.
Easy to scale as our power needs grow. Being based on google cloud is key.
I have worked with other hosting companies for over a decade, and Kinsta is BY FAR the best. It is so easy to take new sites live and activate an SSL, among many other things. Any time I've had a problem, their support has been AWESOME to deal with, and my issue is always resolved within a few minutes.
So far, there is nothing I don't like! I've encountered no issues to speak of.
Kinsta is incredibly fast in both support and load time of websites. While it seems other hosting providers are slowing in website speed AND customer support, Kinsta is picking up the pace.
Definitely their friendly support. They are always available and they've kept me cool more than once when I was worried about a few things.
Kinsta is definitely not the cheapest hosting around. Also, while their support is very friendly and always available, it's also very technical. Quite often you're talking to a person who knows way more about tech than you do and it's not always they are able to "dumb things down" - to my level at least.
Kinsta is hosting both of my businesses. Kinsta makes it a breeze to backup your site and it's easy to roll back to a previous version of your site if need be (for instance if a WordPress update goes wrong). I really like that.
At the first introduction to Kinsta, you immediately feel familiar when it comes to communication and technical support. Not only fast and stable in hosting but also with support.
Nothing found yet ;-) We are a Dutch company so we have not yet experienced the Dutch support but are very satisfied with the English support.
The possibilities and the handy tools that you can operate fairly easily.
It's a managed wordpress hosting environment. It's easy to navigate. You get free SSL certificates and free CDN with each plan. The speed of their sites are fast. They also offer DNS hosting, which helps with TTFB by getting your records off of poorer DNS solutions like GoDaddy (my case). They segment off your accounts, so if one of your sites is doing heavy traffic, another site on your account won't be impacted by that site's server strain.
The only thing I dislike is putting a Redis behind a paywall. Cloudways allowed me to activate it on my server without additional charge, so it would be nice. Also, WooCommerce is kind of heavy for the lower level plans if you're running an ecom site.
I'm moving some heavily trafficked sites to them. We found their solution to be more powerful than some other options and because we have national brands with heavy seasonal traffic, we needed a host that could handle the traffic surges without downtime.
I have access to my server and my data base and I have a full control over my website, in any aspect. They take care of some essentials and easy things for you so you do not need to be worried about somethings like backups or implementing certificate. Also they have good customer service
I cannot think of anything at this point.
We are hosting our blog on Kinsta.
I love the customer chat support feature. Kinsta responds really quickly and they are quick to diagnose and communicate the issues. This will give you a good idea on your next steps on what to do and what not to do with your Wordpress plugins.
None so far. Everything seems to be working fine since we switched over. Whenever there has been issues, they have been resolved very quickly.
The speed of which my sites load ensures a lower bounce rate and engages the customers more. Instead of waiting for a page to load, they can get directly to the content quicker.
The service and the optimization of the site
Its an expensive service and its not good for startups
Hosting
I was initially attracted to Kinsta because they were a WordPress specialist. They have built their own app which sits upon Google Cloud's infrastructure. This was appealing because it removed the bloat of cPanel and gave you only what you needed. The app is constantly being developed with new features. I have been with Kinsta for many years and I've never knowingly had issues or downtime. Their pricing is on the higher side compared to the lower end of hosting market, but as with most things - you get what you pay for. Their support has always been helpful.
Sometimes I've found myself having to over-explain or repeatidly explain any issues I'm facing, so the ability to speak to a person on the phone, rather than live chat, would be useful
A fast and reliable hosting service that I don't need to worry about.
Service and support has been responsive to unique issues that have arisen specific to our use case. Hosting is top quality, blazing fast.
No access to an API. Cost is a bit high, justifiable, but high nonetheless.
High speed scalable cloud hosting for high demand multi-site wordpress instances. Many of the dashboard tools that are standard compared to other hosting providers are much easier and simpler to use for novice to intermediate administrators.
Close to zero downtime, very clear communication, and customer service that is attentive and knowledgeable. I've never had an issue that wasn't quickly and thoroughly addressed.
I've had one rate hike since I joined. No biggie though -- one hike in five years is is more than acceptable.
Fast, secure hosting with great customer service!
THAT IT'S FAST, SECURE AND THE CUSTOMER SERVICE IS QUICK, RESPONSIVE, AND COMPETENT AND KIND. They're just amazing.
The documentation concerning Cloudflare is confusing. (Such as when it comes to whether you should have your own Cloudflare plan, Cloudflare APO vs just their Cloudflare Integration). Update 5/17/23: it would be great if some of the customer support would spell things out for people like me, as if i was more of an id10t or a child, who aren't well versed in the server/coding side of things. It's the entire reason I'm even subscribed. Otherwise I would do it all myself. When there is back-and-forth between developers saying it's Kinsta's responsibility, and Kinsta saying it's the developers' responsibility...... it's extremely frustrating. How the hell would I know what the hell is going on.
SPEED, SECURITY, EASE OF USE, CUSTOMER SERVICE
Firstly, the hosting speed is great. Secondly, customer support- they're always willing to help almost instantly fix things. And lastly, there are many useful tools and services to use on Kinsta to grow your business.
There haven't been many things that I have come across that I can criticize them on. In some cases, I have experienced getting access to customer support to take a while (and by this I mean like 5-10 minutes which is still good, just not their usual 30-second reply). Also, they are quite expensive- which is fair enough- but that might put some people off from starting out with Kinsta which is a shame.
The number one reason I switched to Kinsta from other site hosting platforms is because of the website Speed. This has become a critical factor for ranking well on Google and is just good customer experience practice in general. My website speed is top-notch since switching to Kinsta and doing some other website speed optimizations on top of that as well- but Kinsta is the basis for my site speed. You can't have a fast site, without fast hosting. period.
Reliability in business is key and this server is the most reliable by far
They increased their price recently but they have also increased what you get
I have noticed that my website doesnt go down
