It was really easy to set up, the system was intuitive and made it nonthreatening or scary to get started. I could easily throw together new lists, campaigns, forms, and put it on my site with no problem.
Once I wanted to merge lists, or add in other options to have a more segmented and sophisticated email marketing system, a lot of features were missing or difficult to use.
It was really easy to get started building a list, I could set things up without a problem. I think this worked well for lists under 10k, after that I needed a different program with more options to squeeze extra revenue and personalization out of my list.
Aweber is an easy system to use with auto responders and everything you need to set up a successful campaign. With instructional videos available to help. You can easily customize your platform, set it and forget it, in a sense, yet make changes very easily.
I'm a bit impatient so it did not seem user-friendly at first, however, that is a user error, not product error.
Client training and education in health care. This system made communication easy for me with my clients.
Consistent Gmail delivery is a major challenge for our business, but Aweber has excellent delivery at Gmail. Beyond just Gmail they also have decent delivery at Hotmail, MSN, and Live, but that delivery tends to be a little bit more hit or miss.
I don't like how strict they are on their email content restrictions. They police their customers and review the email lists that we import. I would prefer if they evaluated our sending practices based on customer engagement instead of arbitrary rules on content.
We send email newsletters to our opt in database.
Aweber is relatively easy to use - templates are easy to create and use. It is easy to manage my lists and subscribers.
Aweber loads the previous template you used each time you create a new broadcast. You can change the template, but then have to close the current broadcast and open a new open for the correct template to load.
I needed a way to quickly and easily manage and contact my subscribers. Mission accomplished.
I have been with Aweber for more years than I can count, they are a local company for me on over the bridge in Philly. Never any major issues and almost always 100% up time.
How hard Aweber makes it to move list's over form one service to Aweber. Really a pain.
My list is making money and that's all that matters.
It is user friendly and simple to set up.
The lists functionality is very confusing and frustrating that if a contact exists within multiple lists it counts a more than one contact on your account. Also, I do not like that I cannot update a field of an existing contact via an import.
We are able to send mass emails out in a very short time. We are able to track those emails and provide a quick response or follow up call.
It is very user friendly and quick to learn.
Not mobile friendly for mobile browsers.
Motivation issues. I have sold around 3.000 EUR since
Aweber is a simple interface for getting things done and there are no major drawbacks.
It might not be quite as elegant as Mailchimp (or at least so I've heard). They seem to be getting better though as the landing page experience and other modules have improved since my time as a customer.
Helps get in front of our customers in an easy way.
I've been blogging for 4 years and have used Aweber since the beginning. It was between Aweber and Mailchimp and two things ultimately swayed me in Aweber's direction. 1) I looked at all the other huge bloggers and online business people and many of them use Aweber. 2) The only edge that Mailchimp had was their free account up to 500 subscribers but the free account did not include an auto-responder sequence, something that was very important to me. So I chose Aweber and I'm glad I did!
Aweber makes it really hard to send newsletters from your cell phone. While I don't need to do this very often, occasionally, it's important that I can send a timely email to my list even when I'm not at my computer. Also, their email templates are somewhat outdated and hard to customize. However, I think they have been taking strides lately to address both of these issues.
As a blogger, I use Aweber to stay in touch with my subscribers, My favorite features are the autoresponder (I send a welcome email automatically to new subscribers), the scheduling feature, and the fact that Aweber works with almost every plugin, membership site, or Wordpress related software out there.
I really like the new features that you have been adding with drafts and how social media is integrated. The very best part though is being able to see the names and emails of the people that clicked on specific links.
I don't like that I can't edit the plain text email.
I do recruiting so see who is interested in positions that I email is key to finding out who is looking for a new position.
The best part of AWeber has got to be ease of use inside the newsletter creator. You can add text, images, etc. easily and the support staff was very helpful when I spoke with them.
Outdated system. If you need to change an item such as the length of time between sending two newsletters and all following correspondence it's very tedious.
When I used this product it was part of a lengthy sales funnel. The benefit would have to be management of the system. Once the newsletters have been created and all of the times have been set (which is the hard part) it runs itself.
I Must say am impress with Aweber drag and drop page builder. It is one of the best feature inside of Aweber
Aweber's cost and lack of features within their platform to support my internet business are two things that I dislike about them.
Aweber has a lot of advantages; their autoresponder is incredibly efficient, and you can rapidly develop a lot of capture pages and landing pages for your internet business.
Templates provided, easy to use, Popular application
Only very limited number of contacts can be added. The difficult process to add contacts, hours of waiting for approval
Only supports very limited number of contacts. It does not offer a per user plan as well as no smtp option.
We could use the fonts provided by Aweber to create attractive emails targeting our customer mailing list and I must say the results were quite impressive. Our emails were reponse oriented and the response rate was quite high thanks to Aweber.
Too expensive. There are a plenty of cheaper options. Need to customize the templates to some extent due to some may look a bit outdated.
We were usually targeting prior customers to repeat use our services and get them to recommend our leasing facility to their friends. The response rates were quite satisfactory.
Everything just works. Straightforwardness As I've become throughout the years, AWeber has had the option to help me with new degrees of administration that help my developing needs Their stage is natural and simple to utilize
I will frequently need to switch programs twice for each layout I make just to get the majority of the usefulness to work appropriately Doesn't permit full organizing Can we get a Global Search thing I need to discover another PC to do as such
Issues settling how to make an online business I develop my blog endorsers, keep them refreshed and have even got customers through email because of Aweber. I'm ready to remain in contact with my endorsers, it's makes life simpler Ability to connect with my group of spectators and computerize the procedure effectively
Honestly, AWeber is one of the leaders in e-mail communication. It's user friendly and they have good tutorials and doesn't cost that much per month. However...(see next box)
Cost. Well, it's not really a dislike, but more of a 'where you are in your business' thing. Mailchimp, one of AWeber's competitors, offers their services for free if you have under a certain amount of subscribers. Because of this, AWeber was getting to be expensive for me so I went with Mailchimp until I could get my subscriber number up.
Creating company newsletters that my client did not want to take the time to create.
I like how easy it is to organize my contacts by lists and send them broadcast emails + automated emails through campaign. We use AWeber to capture leads and take them through a campaign that delivers valuable content. The email builder is easy to use.
I do feel like the campaign builder could be more robust, but it has everything you need to build a very simple campaign.
Lead organization, automated emails, lead nurturing, etc!
I like that you can do drip campaigns and automatic email responses.
I don't think it's the easiest website to navigate. It can be hard to find things some times. I don't like that you can't create everything right in the platform but have to drag and drop.
The ability to automate emails.
I think AWeber has just about every feature a small to medium sized company could want in an email program. I love their simple email editor and from my experience their customer service is amazing!
I didn't like the designs. I couldn't find a design I loved and that I felt was worthy of my brand. Also their autoresponders didn't have as many options. Like I couldn't get specific enough like I could with similar autoresponder email programs.
It really opened our eyes to what we could do with email marketing. However we found some issues like design and autoresponder options with the program and have moved on to other programs. Maybe it has changed since we last were there but I'm not sure it was still in late 2016 when we finally ended it.
Aweber is easy to use, newbie friendly, and has many choices of customizable templates. User interface is also intuitive.
Although templates are abundant, some may be outdated. Follow up messages cannot be exported out easily. I had to move them manually.
I'm trying to grow my list and find that Aweber does this effectively. It's also a great platform to learn.
