ACT keeps my business tidy if I allow it to. As long as I make quick notes on the way out of a business meeting, I have those notes forever to recall or to pass along to associates - forever. The back ups and ease of reporting is phenomenal! Adding companies and contacts is simplistic.
I have yet to get more people in my company to sign on so that we are all sharing information the same way. Some are simply pencil and paper and will never change.
Keeping up with contacts who move about in large companies as they are no longer desk-bound. I can catch them on the fly.
I like how it allows me to add everything I need in my customers file with more options than I knew about. Its so easy to use.
There's nothing i dislike. It is great for what I need it for. For my postion not all of ACT options do I use. Great for what I need it for
Benefits would be that all customer info is all in there i don't need extra folders to keep their info in. ACT allows me to keep it all together
It is simple to use and manage contacts. Lists can be imported and managed for group or individual contact.
Though Act is able to import standard .csv files, it does not export easily.
I have used act for 10 years. I use it to manage my sales pipeline, then follow up contacts with existing customers.
I love that all my clients are in 1 customizable CRM program.
There is nothing that I dislike - Nothing at all.

Now that our database has been finally set up correctly to work for us. We can now get more use of the of data that has been input. The negative was our issue not ACT! we were lacking in knowledge of creating our database. It holds plenty of data and gives us options to tailor the database to our benefits. There is plenty more for us to learn and use we are only use a very small section of the system.
It has taken sometime to understand how to design and set up. User friendly instructions would be good for the less IT lit person. Our IT set up was somewhat cumbersome as each computer holds the database and not the server. Not sure if that's our IT issue or this is how ACT works.
Great to add data and hold data for our company, it has given us more flexibility to create tabs that work for each department. Our training department and recruitment departments use the database constantly to ensure they are up to date.
The Customer Service is exceptional. I highly recommend the Ultimate Support Plan. The technicians respond immediately and are very pleasant and helpful. You actually feel like you are speaking to person who is interested in solving your problem instead of a person reading from a script.Once you get a feel for your way around the site, customization is fairly simple.
I had some trouble in the beginning setting everything up, but again, the tech support was amazing. i wouldn't call it a dislike. I had some problems in the beginning with creating merge fields in templates, but was able to sort it out using the tech support.
Mail Merge is amazing, as well as being able to create documents, notes, etc. withing the contacts. Makes communication and record keeping SO much easier. I am a relatively new user, but I'm excited to find out all the ways we can use Act!
I like having the ability to customize the database so that I can use it exactly how it best works for my business.
I use the ACT Cloud and I have had some technical difficulties.

I dislike the update speed. If more than one person is working in it, you have to refresh in order to see any changes.

ACT syncs badly with Outlook and that makes keeping my iPhone and iPad contact lists current. We have almost 18,000 contacts and some ACT search functions are slow.

I like the helpful courteous tech support especially act has become more complicated to install and to get in trouble with. Mostly in the morning, they're always there patiently making sure our lives and business are less stressful and organized than ever.
Swiftpage E-marketing as part of it seems obsolete.
Database, History and opportunities. In my life in sales, these functionalities are absolutely necessary.
I needed some assistance with ACT. The tech logged into my computer and fixed my issue and volunteered to update the version. A nice bonus for me. After more than 15 years using the program, I still think it is the best contact manager for my business.
I was happy that there was no part of the session that was a problem.
I use Act every day. I've used it since it was first released about 2003 in DOS!
Never feeling lost in working within Act with their awesome customer support. Love the lay out.
Updates sometimes can be extremely irritated, without knowing about them. Need to expand support to 24/7

Jeff, the technician was very knowledgeable about the recent Windows-10 Update and the Office update. The issues were clearly identified, not only was the ACT problem solved, but it solved additional issues with other applications using Windows Services in Word
In this case, nothing. The service was more than spot on.
I use ACT as my CRM tool for my business. I also use the eMail marketing program that interacts directly with ACT and my website.
Endless customization options allow us to keep what we want and do away with what we do not. There is also a lot of support online for troubleshooting and/ or tutorials.
Editing multiple records at the same time can be done but it is a bit tricky.

Search the entire database for any word in my entire database, very useful indeed
"Notes" and "History" are on two separate tabs. , Very inconvenient for me. In older versions, they were together, much better

Setting up TASK for re-call customer reminders according to priority and timing for industries who have date-specific sales planning (according to customers' needs)
When using TASK, once a record is handled, it takes you back up to the top of the list instead of picking up where you left off....... Synchronization only happens up to the web for one user. It would be helpful (especially when one individual is using two computers that it synchonizes up to the web and back down to the remote PC's used by the individual.
It is far and away better than other CRM software that I've used over the years. The export function enables and easy print out of a field guide by company name and geography for quick reference.
I have one relatively easy to use repository for customer information. The reporting searches are relatively easy, as well.
It is difficult to change the layout if I want to add more fields to my main layout.
Ability to keep track or various customers. The benefits amount to knowing when they are up for annual reviews, or when they hit a milestone and must be contacted to insure IRS compliance.
I like the search engine that can be used by simply searching with a phone number. This gives me the flexibility of looking someone up FAST!
I dislike the interface that is very outdated and feels like DOS. Needs to be brought ot the 21st century
Keeping track of all customer orders and stages of them. With the reminders popping directly in front of me this makes me do it right then. Being able to email right from a list of pre written emails really saves time.
Being able to manipulate data in my Database. I love the way it integrates with the remote database on my laptop. I can be out doing sales calls on day. Keep all my notes and updates on my remote database. And then sync it to my main computer in the office. I use the exponencia auto-dialer and can make my calls using skype or majic jack. When on the road I have mounted my laptop in my car and can send them customized templated emails with pdf attached sales brouchures immediately using the hotspot on my phone about our meeting. That impresses a lot of clients. I can keep notes so I can have total recall of my last conversation with them. I can access their web page and their social media pages in tabs that make it very easy. And I can create limited custom fields and totally manipulate data in my database without programming. I can program in Access, but it's just not worth it because Act does is really easy. I've been using act since the beginning. I've looked at others, and keep up with the new web based browser systems, but none can offer the power of Act pro.
Used it from the beginning. Nothing!! Now Outlook on the other hand, is a pain. I've shut off the Outlook 2016 updates. I found I'd just get Act communicating well with outlook, and outlook would update it and mess everything all up. The only think I use outlook for is to send emails through act so I just stopped it from updating. That solved that problem.
All my sales contacts. I do all my marketing from ACT. I can manipulate the data in my database and set up very complex data pulls. I use the skype add it from exponencia that allows me to click a button and it auto dials a call. After the call, send a followup email, and the email and notes of the call are there forever. I keep abreast of the competition for act. Nothing comes close.
