There are so many different themes that offer a vast amount of flexibility for personal or business use. Using plugins and basic programming can make any website exactly the way you want to represent your business. Moreover, it is easy to get Google Analytics to recognize WP sites, which improves readership and attracts advertisers.

Some web hosting companies do not allow administrators do their own updates; it is more than inconvenient. While this is not an issue for WordPress itself, users should be aware of this problem and make a determination how much control they want to have on their own site(s).

I use WP.org for personal use and for business. For business purposes, we have 5 newspaper sites, we also build and maintain sites for multiple clients. Using the easy backend composer makes it easy to create successful and profitable sites.

Wordpress can be as simple or as complexe as you want. It adapts to your needs, the most simples to the most complexes

WordPress is very user-friendly. I don't need to know anything about html coding to update our company's website with relevant content. User interface is easy to navigate and fairly intuitive. I can even make updates from my mobile phone. Password-protected page feature is great for allowing access to certain content (i.e., customer log-in pages). I also use WordPress to manage my personal blog site after having such a good experience with it at work. Love that it is web-based and can be accessed from anywhere.

Plug-in options can be overwhelming. Too many plug-ins from third-parties offer little to no additional functionality (just a change to the user interface). Sidebar menu could be a bit easier to navigate (add hover over text, etc.). I sometimes have to hunt for a feature in various areas before I find it (such as updating menu bars, sidebars, and the like).

We use WordPress to manage our company's website. We hired a company to design the "look and feel" of our site and they have since handed the content management over to me. With WordPress, I find it very easy to update pages, create new ones, change menus, add photo galleries, etc. With minimal time and effort, I've learned to quickly navigate WordPress. It's a huge time-saver for someone like me with no coding experience.

The interface is easy to use, update, and post from anywhere in the world.

Some of the formatting can be a bit boring or generic and can sometimes look cheap.

Establishing an online presence and persona for a media company. The benefits are utilizing wordpress to see how it works for larger projects and being able to track other individuals' blogs and comments.

Easy installation, very flexible and customizable. A lot of ressources out there to help you out. You can be a newbie or a veteran coder and still be able to create a nice website and e-commerce.

The easy and also the range of tools. Training on the tool is also very straight forward, and we were able to sync with CoSchedule beautifully, making WP the perfect tool for us. Even add in SEO properties, sort by categories, etc. We have a large audience, and yet this simple tool is the perfect thing.

Sometimes the formatting can get a bit confusing, but I do not have extensive experience with coding or with WP. I also would wish to be able to add in new categories at a moment's notice, as opposed to just select from the permanent ones on the sidebar (although that may mess with back-end things, so I totally understand why.)

Posting content in-house onto our website (that gets shared on social media).

Easy to use platform from beginners to professional web design. The ability to add self hosted sites makes this much more than just another blog site.

The lack of photo friendly editing. Being able to build paragraphs around photos on all platforms could be better.

Once you get the hang of the basics, Wordpress will become your go-to. There are so many different templates, free and paid, and a lot of regularly updated plugins to choose from so you don't have to write all of your needed integrations yourself.

It's performance intensive. You will have trouble running it well on a basic hosting package.

WordPress is an amazing platform that can be utilized to build many different types of products. It includes a huge community of developers and, best of all, its free!

The best part of Wordpress is the flexibility and resources out there for you to use. You really can build any site you want with whatever skill level you have.

The pro is also a con because there are so many resources out there you'll run into a lot of bad add-ons or templates that are difficult to use. As long as you research what add-ons are best and what templates fit your needs you should be fine.

Wordpress's CMS is super easy to use. So when other people who aren't developers use it, it's easy to pick up.

I love the ease of use for writing and the ease of the customizer tool.

PHP is a very hard to decipher when one doesn't have a firm grip on HTML/CSS

Wordpress is a very good framework for website with a communication purpose. If several contributors have to manage content learning wordpress is very simple.

There is an enormous catalog of plugins and themes. You have to pay attention of the quality when you chose plugins and themes for the maintenance and security of your website.

So simplistic and easy to learn to use. Wordpress has so many options to make your website amazing and detailed. I've used others in the past and they don't compare at all. All the options on the left side are easy to navigate. My Site is great— the page editor is beautiful and it’s simple to understand. Pages and blog posts are created using a WYSIWYG editor (so not a drag-and-drop visual interface, which many users may prefer). Fortunately the WYSIWYG editor is very nicely done.

Teaching myself is a slower process, but overall easy to catch on. The only issues I really have is learning what each thing does and how it effects my site. But overall its self explanatory. My Site is really simple. As soon as you to use some of the advanced features— for example create a store or add a poll— you have swap over to the WP Admin

I have been blogging for many years now and one of the greatest platforms I have used is WordPress. I like the fact that there are many themes and plugins available for me to use for my blog. Being able to choose a nice theme for your Website or blog provides a great deal of satisfaction. The backend is user-friendly even for non-tech people.

Finding the right theme that matches your expectations can be tumultuous. I have switched themes many times before zeroing in on the right one.
