Toptal gives me the flexibility to work on part-time projects. In today's ever-changing world, none is married to a job. Everyone values their life more than money. Toptal gives me the choice of working when I want. Especially Toptal lets me give my best hours for the most productive and focused work I do - programming.
- Most of the Toptal projects are for US companies, so the time overlap requirements are not ideal for someone in Asia. I don't want to be a night owl; hence my options are limited regarding projects. - It would be nice when a recruiter decides to reject my application, so that I can move forward with other applications.
Remote working was essential for businesses to thrive for a long time. Having worked remotely for 8years, I know it is not everyone's cup of tea. Toptal allows employees and employers to decide whether to adapt this model and build their businesses.

The payment feature for Toptallers in developing countries is quite rigorous because most developing countries, like Nigeria, are blocked from receiving funds from international platforms; I would have loved a better means of payment for them should be considered, e.g. crypto
Toptal has been able to provide jobs to thousands and close to million of citizens of developing countries like Nigeria, Kenya and South Africa that never imagined getting to work with brands outside their countries. These have greatly and significantly improved and encouraged more experts to rise from these countries, thereby making the experts from these countries more noticeable worldwide.
- The platform is very intuitive - The people are responsive, friendly, and very professional - The experience is well put together - Toptal cares and doesn't hesitate to show it
- So far, I haven't seen anything I dislike. I could mention the possibility that it can take time before getting stable jobs, but Toptal remedies that by assigning Talent success coaches which is actually another plus.
- In some parts of the world, top talents, smart and hard-working people have issues accessing nice paying jobs because of many barriers. Toptal pretty much changed my life, because I can finally earn what I'm supposed to be earning with my skills.

Finding gigs is hard and it seems now the company is aiming for more users and not so the top people. I feel the market is too crowded at this point and is hard to get more gigs.
I like they handle the administration part of my career and for the most part and I get to focus on the most important part which is my work.

You can focus on doing a great job. After filling a complete profile, they match you with a client, or you can apply for different offers. Both ways make you spend less time finding clients and more time enjoying your work. Most clients they matched me with were terrific companies.
You need to be aware of the time between engagements in order not to be without work. They are improving this although as you can apply to new offers a month before finishing the current jobs.
They look for clients and take care of all the payments so you can focus on doing a great job. Besides, their accounting team is always kind and accommodating if you have any assignment problems.
No chasing clients for payments - all you need to do is to do the work, and the payments come per schedule. Also, the jobs come to you and it's pretty much always a good match. Also, the clients I work with are great companies.
There's a rather difficult selection process to get onto the platform, but it's worth the effort and, once you're in, you're on a good track. Although that wasn't my personal experience, I heard from people I know that it was a bit challenging to get the first gig, but after that it went smoothly.
I don't need to LOOK for work - the work finds me. Also, the money flow is extremely convenient and reliable, since all the money comes from a single source, and there's no need to handle each client individually when it comes to payment methods.

I was confused about specializations. Initially, I was registered to the wrong one, and I had to pass one more exam to join the specialization that I wanted to. It took a while, but the toptal support responded quickly to help.
Payments don't depend on the client and are always on time, Toptal matchers help to find suitable clients for you, and support responds within 24 hours.
Honestly, it is the support team at Toptal. All the coaches, matchers and mentors support you throughout your journey. I don't even receive this level of support from my family members. For the first time, it really feels like someone really has your back. They are not just looking to exploit you. Other freelance platforms try to get the most work done from you with the least possible budget. It's just a race to the bottom on those other platforms. But at Toptal, the core team genuinely have your best interests, and it feels like they want me to succeed and be compensated well for my time and effort. People from the core team are always willing to help you without judgement, and I think THAT is just awesome. Yeah, the money is great and all, but the support you receive from the core members is far, far better.

There is nothing particular I dislike. Some clients can be challenging to deal with, but this isn't Toptal's fault; they are trying their best.
With Toptal, you are not constrained with your geographic location and can work worldwide market. They step as a legal entity guarantor between employer and employee and organize many things such as legal issues and payments.
The stability that Toptal brought to my life is amazing. Every day there are new exciting jobs that I can apply. Once you show good consistent work, jobs almost literally comes knocking on your door.
I still have difficulties managing finance when receiving 2x a month for a full-time gig. But I think that's on me; there's no way around :) Maybe one thing I dislike is when I put a lot of effort into an application, but in the end, I wasn't fit for that client's budget.
Steady income of new clients: I don't need to go hunt for clients; applying is very easy. There's almost no need to bother with finance chores, everything is very easy and trustworthy. And lastly the transparency that the platform and email brings.
