I am a relatively new accounting professional, with limited accounting experience. I have been using Quickbooks Desktop Enterprise and it works well for my company's needs. It was easy and fast to learn how to use, and helped reinforce accounting principles I was taught in training. If I need to perform a new-to-me task, it is usually very simple to figure out on my own.
I work with multiple entities, and it would be nice to have more than two companies open at a time. It may just be an issue with my PC, but it is very slow to log in to a company. It typically takes around five minutes to log in. I spend a lot of time switching between.companies.
My primary job function is AP. Quickbooks allows me to handle these tasks with ease, and re-bill expenses to our customers.
Able to process all vendor invoices and complete various reports
No dislikes, QuickBooks is a good tool. I can customize reports and create detailed and summary reports.
Able to record all payables.
The Quickbooks Enterprise software is so easy to use. Any questions I’ve had have always been made clear in the Help section. Less freezing than previous versions I’ve used.
My only complaint is that I cannot batch close out sales orders. I use an EDI program that carries all my PO’s over and turns them into sales orders which I turn into invoices. Not a fan of them being open.
We are able to have more users logged on at a time. Reporting has improved as well as the search features. Overall just easy to use and keeps our info very organized.
Compared to the online version, I feel the desktop option is more reliable to keeping things up to date. Clean and easy to use.
Sometimes I feel there are too many options and it makes finding menu options more difficult. Sharing files can be a little more difficult when this is not the online desktop edition.
Keeping track of business activities.
This software is user friendly and super easy to use.
That you cannot be signed into multiple locations at once
No problems at my business
Super user friendly -- I love the home screen and how easy it is to navigate.
Nothing I can think of off the top of my head.
Really easy to track payments and desposits and I absolutely ove that.
It's so easy to create invoices, enter a simple journal entry, or whatever you need to do!
Sometimes there are too many options and I'm not sure if I'm doing things the "best way"
Organization of our finances is pretty simple. Communicating with our accountant is easy when they can just look at what you're doing too.
I love how easy QuickBooks makes managing my finances. In particular, I like that I can hook up all my bank accounts and my transactions are automatically categorized. I don't have to spend too much time fixing the categorizations.
I wish it didn't cost so much. I like using Mint because it's free but to get all the options, you have to pay for QuickBooks. But I guess it's worth it if you were to compare paying a bookkeeper or an accountant to do it for you.
QuickBooks has really helped me to organize and sort all my transactions day to day so that I can make a good budget for myself in each category and it helps to keep track of the budgets too. For business, it makes it easy to manage my accounts. I can enter invoices, past charges and payments, etc.
ease of use, UI very easy to learn. the help community online is very helpful with trying to figure things out on your own without having to deal with customer service.
i dislike how you cannot add custom fields to tables and also i dislike the intuit annual service plan.
i am using qb enterprise desktop for our back-end bookkeeping. We use a different software for order management, inventory management, and production.
The ease and the help function answers most of my questions
I really cannot think of anything I dislike
The ability to run various reports that streamline tasks
Ease of use and accuracy of information. Very user friendly - reports export well to excel - automated payroll JE's are great.
I'm not happy with the 1099 efile service or the fact that you're required to upgrade your version to keep payroll subscriptions working.
All accounting and reporting aspects of the business - great reports for decision making
This is one of the best hosting softwares I have used in a long time.
I really do not have any complaints with this software.
Organization and time management. This has made our end of year tax filing more simplistic that past years.
This allows companies to organize their finances very well and in depth. I use this at work and at home for various things like calculating interest on loans, vehicle depreciation, mortgage interest, regular bills, etc...I used to use excel spreadsheets before I found out about quick books, this has made managing finances much easier.
I found out there’s no IT support for this software, we’ve had issues in the past where it was difficult to get glitches fixed. I noticed the proving changes a lot and it seems like it’s per user and sometimes it changes even if the user is the same which I cannot figure out.
There are many benefits and uses like purchase orders, creating statements for multiple customers, organizing all of the company’s finances and even creating and preparing 1099s.
QuickBooks easy navigation makes training a book keeper or assistant being easy. The support purified by the company is awesome as well! It makes payroll ready for small businesses that don't need an entire HR department.
The fact that sometimes it requires logging out and loving back in and sometimes it takes a while to load all files. We switched to QuickBooks online and have not had that problem.
accounting and payroll
QuickBooks Desktop Enterprise is a great product. It has an easy to use interface, and it helps you to run you business effectively and efficiently. I would recommend this to accountants and small businesses alike.
There is not much to dislike about this product. My only complaint is that some features are sort of hidden in the product. If these features were more visible, I would have no complaints about this product.
It has helped me to run my business both efficiently and effectively.
I like that we can house all of our customer order information in one place.
I do NOT like that some of the updates can pause business for us. We have to have this software running smoothly.
Payment processing, typing and finalizing orders, sending Sales receipts via Email. Etcetera.
I love that I can run so many reports , and I can search my Journal Entries with ease.
That its really not good for inventory counts.
Invoicing and deposits are great with Quickbooks.
I like how organized everything is. It is easy to find what you’re looking for and guides you to the next steps for what you are doing.
There isn’t really anything I don’t like
I really like how simple it is to use and keep track of inventory and invoices up to date.
Easy to use and understand. Great for medium size companies
The short cut bar. How enter is always for save and new, wish you could customize.
Quick view of all financial standing.
We've been using QB for years and the updates are always seamless, and all of our employees find it easy to use. It includes all of the features we need, without a lot of complications.
Some of the reporting is a little cumbersome. For instance, it's hard to run detailed reports such as "show me all outstanding bills over 90 days with both the vendor and job name on the report". Not a huge deal though.
We have a streamlined, simple accounting solution with Quickbooks. The biggest benefits are that everyone knows how to use it, and any new hires that have an accounting background can jump right in.
