Very easy process to buy a domain. All essential features are included with it.
Some domains are cheaper if you buy from others.
It gives yoyr brand an online identity. You can use domain to host website.
Free SSL on all domains in the hosting account. Free whois for each domain. Transparent Pricing system Prompt and efficient support. Modern web interface.
Resource allocation for hosting is small for the price. Could do with more addon domains.
Installing web apps with one click installs. Hosting websites with free ssl and whois. webmails and subdomains.
Good customer service and fast response. With a reasonable price for the service they provide. They also offer good promotions from time to time.
The web UI fails time to time. You've got to do a refresh sometime to get things done. If you are in hurry, it'll make you crazy.
We are using Namecheap for registering our domain names.
The user interface is nice, and getting on a line with support doesn't take horribly long.
Even when speaking with support, sometimes they don't translate what you want to action.
Domain hosting! Their interface is intuitive, moreso than other hosts.
Love the pricing, good rates and a reasonable swath of services
but they couldnt process our biz credit card and couldnt figure out why. Gave me runaround between them and the bank.
name service only
Cheaper than other providers, for ppl on a budget.
For anyone here who is not an IT or experienced be aware! I purchased a domain and at the moment of purchase, Namecheap added some free "services" as a "bonus" (more like a tricky way to upsell inexperienced ppl). I never used these services and even forgot they were there! After a month I saw that I was charged 9.99$ + 18.99$ for these two services!! Long story short, I asked them to cancel the charge and they refused! An honest company would at least send a single reminder saying "Hey we saw you were not using your X, Y...." But it's better to keep it hidden as your money is more important than you!
Providing domain
I had a domain there for 1 year, and everything was ok, but as soon as I paid for the renewal, they sent me a letter that they no longer provide me with a service, because I was born in Russia.
I tried to contact their support and confirmed that I can transfer my domain to another service provider, however, I was told to wait 45 days and could not get a refund.
They provided a domain registration service for my product, but then refused to provide it and also refused to issue a refund. The support is very slow and does not answer the questions asked directly.
Cheap. Has a website with basic functionality.
Their faulty AI security system routinely flags many people's accounts as fraud. When this happens, they require you to provide your SSN, a picture of your credit card, and then your bank account statement. If you want to give away your private information, this is the domain host for you. I had to cancel my domain and now at risk of losing it when it gets released back to the public. Also, they have a very spaghetti-like Customer Service department. Person A cannot help with the ticket opened by Person B. Person B doesn't have enough knowledge or permission to help you and therefore refer you to person C. Person C is in the wrong department to they reroute your ticket to Department D. Your ticket sits in the queue for days without any owner assigned until you contact them again so you can flag your ticket as High priority. Overall, the price is cheap but not as competitive anymore. There're other better domain and web hosting companies out there.
There has been very little benefits besides the cheap price. They give me a domain, but then falsely lock my account despite all my attempts to give them SSN and credit card pictures.
Nothing. They're a bad company to deal with.
They never warned me that my domain was expiring. I went in 4 days before expiration and they won't let me renew it. They said it's going to be over $200 - and it's not even expired yet. I've been a customer for many years now. This is the way they treat their customers.
Nothing. I'm moving away from them.
I liked the customer support line that was available when I got lost as to how to set up my site.
I disliked the confusing design of the site, as in the various options were ill explained and hard to find.
I was launching a splash page for a home construction business in the Kingsway.
I have been using Namecheap for years and the most important thing for me is that I know I can trust them with my domains, and that their behavior will always be fair, and that has always been the case for me.
The control panel is well structured and designed, but in some cases it did take me a lot of time and navigation to find the functionality I was looking for. This aspect can be improved.
I use them to register domains for business and personal use. The prices are fair, they have great tools for checking and purchasing domains, and it's easy to maintain the domains once purchased. I have complete piece of mind with relation to my domains.
A few months back I bought a domain on Namecheap and I must say that the UI is user-friendly. During the purchase, I encountered a problem and right away I was able to connect to customer care through live chat and they fixed my problem. It also has an option for domain auto-renewals and It will auto-renew my domain before the domain expiry date.
The DNS management panel of Namecheap domains might be confusing for beginners. The UI of DNS Panel should be improved
Through Namecheap domains, I can buy domains for managing my different businesses. They also offer different coupon codes to get instant discounts, unlike other platforms. They also offer domain privacy free(forever) for domains unlike other platforms.
Namecheap is both affordable and easy to use. I can find what I need at a fair price and easily manage it.
Namecheap is starting to spread out a bit, they need to stay focused on their core business to keep it the best around.
I just need a central spot to buy domains and manage them. Namecheap does that without a bloated interface with irrelevant information.
Affordable, secure domain registration and renewals.
Simple interface can make it difficult find advanced features.
I use Namecheap to register, renew, and maintain all my domain names.
Super clean and clear domain dashboard. I like having all my tools on one screen.
They sometimes "recommend" services in the middle of your list of domains, kind of like an ad.
None.
Their name is very fitting; they are indeed very cheap! They offer coupons on social media regularly too. Support is great via LiveChat.
There is honestly nothing that I dislike; they're incredible!
We now have a registrar that is competent, fast, and cheap - to buy domain names from
I have been a namecheap customer for quite few years and I love the fact they have affordable prices, an awesome support system, they offer free whois and DNS management. And yes they don't kill me with their renewal prices.
Talking about domains I don't have anything to dislike. I have been using them for years now and the have been good and helpful.
Namecheap offers one of the best competitive prices for a huge variety of domains spread across various tld's. They run some great offers every year during blackfiday/cybermonday. They also have various discounted promotions from time to time. The management dashboard area is simple to use. Overall it's my number one choice when registering domains.
Keeping aside the usual stuff like the ease of use, excellent customer service with quick turnaround and easy integration, what I like the best is the fact that they provide WHOISGUARD for free for most domains (.com, .net, .org, etc). This is extremely useful.
To be entirely honest, I haven't yet found anything that I dislike about this service yet.
This is my one-stop shop for all my domain purchases. I currently own 3 and all are through Namecheap!
They have great prices on domains and setting up DNS servers is pretty easy. Whenever I had problems it was easy to figure out what to do with a simple google search. They have basic settings and advanced settings as well and most things can be accomplished with their basic settings.
There isn't much to dislike except sometimes the loading time on their website is slow.
It has allowed me to quickly and easily buy a large number of domains for, what I can tell, is the cheapest price available and to easily set up URL redirects. It has also enabled me to list my domains for sale easily rather than going through a third party website.
I love namecheap because they always seem to have deals for transfers and use domain registrations, support is responsibly quick , I love the payment options that they offer, a wide range of payment options. A good list of tld on offer as well
Support can sometimes take sometime if the issue needs to be escalated, sometimes they decide to act on illegitimate copyright notices and suspend the domain as well as the account as a whole, I think they need to look in to see how legitimate those requests are
We have multiple of our domains registered through namecheap, quick and instant domain registrations
