How to better communicate with development what the product should look like and behave. Get prototypes in front of users and stakeholders early and often for feedback. This has helped us build better product.

Syncing with Sketch is usually quick and seamless

Files don't upload in the order of Sketch artboards, forcing me to rearrange them after upload.

InVision is key in communicating designs to both internal teams and clients. The commenting function is especially key in understanding feedback on designs.

I like how easy it is to connect clickable actions on the uploadable images. I also like how it syncs with Sketch to allow easy uploading.

InVision is great for rapid prototyping. It makes it easy to user test apps and make quick iterations.

This tool has a variety of templates for prototyping. The tool is simple to use as it involves drag and drop.

This tool does not allow download of the code of the prototype.

The business problem was a coursework project for a systems design project involving a lot of fundamentals of emotional design.

I love how I can make brand guidelines, keep my projects in one clean interface and collaborate with colleagues on projects in real-time.

I honestly haven't found anything that I dislike so far.

Real-time interaction with clients on prototyping is key and InVision really helps do that. I realize that real-time feedback speeds up the process and helps the project achieve a better end result.

I enjoy the ability that I can open up a design and have comments and I can also build a prototype to show my customers using their tool. I simply use the arrow keys to navigate through the screens and my customers understand the flow of the new design.

I dislike that if I share design with customers that they need to create an account in order for them to leave comments. as a workaround they have to email me with screenshots to show me exactly what they're looking at and what questions they may have.

We are currently using Invision to show designs to customers as well as prototype solutions for our customers. In addition we are using it with the development team for creating our product.

I love how you can make your concept and artwork look and work how it would in real life!

I wish it provided more animations or customization

It is hard to explain to clients how an app or site is going to work and how things connect and this allows them to have a full understanding

I love InVision's ability to allow comments on a single screen. The interactive prototype becomes an artifact of discussion and new ideas can be built upon!

I dislike that images don't automatically resize to the correct display size. That might be an issue with my files though. Hmm...

InVision is helping us solve a collaboration problem. Before, stakeholders would print out the screens, write notes and individually submit them to me. Now, they can live comment and all feedback now resides in one place.

What I like most about invision is the ability to share projects with other people. Overall it has a great way of managing feedback on different screens and keeping track of the history.

I don't like that I cannot link items within the same screen with another overlay item. So instead of uploading so many screens, I could just upload assets for specific areas. Dragging and dropping in these areas would be very helpful. The selection area tool is not very smart. it does not self-align, or save the shape while being applied.

This tool helps designers, business owner or anyone really that has an idea and wants to visualize it without actually spending money on hiring developers just yet.

Invision allows for very quick set up to create prototypes, which really helps when doing rapid prototyping. Most prototyping tools require complex linking and deciding exact click types - invision is quick and easy.

Because it's quick and easy, you're going to be missing complex features and interaction functions.

InVision provides a way to share early and frequent design prototypes and tweaks in ways that prompt good feedback. Connected with Sketch and the Craft plugin for Sketch InVision becomes considerably more powerful. I love that I can interact with product managers using comments and re-sync my project changes via Sketch in real time to nearly work in real-time to collaborate. The Craft plugin for Sketch with Inspect mode in InVision makes collaborating with developers and engineers far easier and faster than other tools or methods I've used.

The comments features aren't always intuitive for non-InVision users. Some people can't seem to "find" where to comment. This might be solved with a better onboarding or contextual help feature around comments for non-designers. Most people therefore give me verbal feedback in person or using another channel like Slack or email. That said, the comments work great for those who do use them! The server and synching sometimes has issues.

Sharing early prototypes for design features with other stakeholders and prompting important feedback

I can easily share my research, prototypes and final designs with stakeholders, team members and developers quickly and easily. I also like that I can connect my sketch files with my invision prototype which makes small updates seamless. I also like the inspect mode so my developers can easily see what's going on in my project.

Sometimes its a little "buggy" and my files get mess up and it puts screens out of order. Also, the craft plugin sometimes gets out of sync and it needs to be updated, which can be a pain if you work at a large company with little admin access to update programs. I also wish that the prototype feature would support gifs better for small flinto animations on a single page.

The biggest benefit of invision is that you can seamlessly share your work with others and help them understand your vision of a project in context of what it is. I've noticed that major stakeholders struggle with imagining something without seeing it. Invision also helps a large company stay connected by easily being able to add coworkers, stakeholders and developers to projects. I also like that you can have different notes for different work streams i.e. engineer notes, fixes etc.

It's easy to use and intuitive. I really like the drag and drop feature to upload images.

Having a limited number of prototypes allowed has caused issues for a coworker of mine.

It allows clients to understand what their web pages will look like once it's live.

I like the easy to use nature of the program and how it is such a helpful resource in bringing mockups to life.

We are solving the disconnect between flat designs and clients in the early stages of design. It makes projects run smoother and feedback is more accurate and clear.

its an easy tool where a whole team can review at once. It is easy to sort through comments and edits. Its also easy to mark as resolved as you make the updated changes. Very user friendly and easy to find your way around.

Sometimes when importing files the colors, shapes, and fonts can become a bit distorted. It can also be hard to view larger files in the browser. It would be nice if you could upload psd docs, or other large format files.

My company uses invision for team editing and collaborating. We use it for a wide range of different medias. Invision is also used in my company for sharing with clients. This makes it easy for clients to tell us their input in a documented and organized way.

Sharing, making comments and how easy it is to build the prototype functionality.

I actually wish that I could zoom in or out on each page. Many times the page looks too small in my browser window and I usually fiddle with the configuration, but it doesn't get it quite right. I also wish it was easier to just replace a screen.

We started using our InVision wires as the hand off document to the IT department. In the past we used PDF wireframe handoffs, but always had to re-send when any changes were made making it confusing as to what version was the latest. With InVision we can just have one living document.

InVision has allowed me to quickly create clickable prototypes. Without this app I would have to code up, which is not great!

Invision has issues with uploading some of my mocks. Their new plugin, craft, has especially been buggy.

I can easily show coworkers and people outside the company mockups very quickly. It also allows you to create tours which is a great way to walk people through your prototypes.

It's the quickest and easiest tool I'm aware of to create simple prototypes that offer just enough interaction (whether for wireframes or UI) to feel legitimate.

Positioning of hotspots for hover states can be finicky.

Ability to show clients functional prototypes bridges the gap between our ideas and execution well before we get to a finished product.
