I like that pages can be organized in Confluence per team. It is easy to find information that you need. Additionally, it is a great way to document your work on various projects and see what other team members are working on.
I don't have much to say for negatives of Confluence. One nice feature that I wish Confluence had would be a way for teams to edit documents concurrently, similar to the features on Google drive.
We are using Confluence as a way to document our work and share knowledge within the company. It is great to have a centralized location to turn to for information and instructions.
I love the ability to discuss things and share knowledge easily with my coworkers and peers.
Nothing this program is perfect. I enjoy using this progrm to the fullest extent.
Confluence solves the problem of disorganized inhouse communication.
Ease of use and I can easily keep track of my projects.
Confluence can definitely use a new look and feel.
Tracking projects have been a lot more easy with the use of Confluence.
I have deployed Confluence in every environment that I've been a part of. It's the best tool for sharing and storing documentation across teams thanks to its robust permissions tools, large assortment of content templates and a marketplace with thousands of add-ons that offer even more functionality.
The pricing structure for the on-prem deployment is such that small businesses cannot easily afford licenses for all or even most of their users, making it less than ideal as an Intranet solution. If there was a tier that covered 11-100 users for less than the $5100 sticker price, I would have gladly utilized it in even more environments.
Confluence excels at organizing documentation, and to that end it has allowed me and my teams to store and recall critical notes even years after the fact. This is especially helpful when diagnosing those pesky one-off IT issues; no longer do you need to scrape through archived e-mails, share drives and search results. In less than a minute, you can ensure that important user guide or tech note does not fall off the face of the earth.
Confluence allowed our company to remain organized as we weekly created new documentarian. It is user friendly.
Confluence could be more attractive in it’s look.
Organization and proper documentation.
Lets you have documentation of your applications that can be easily updated by your teammates. You can have different spaces for each team, and edit freely the documentation. (with a changelog, that can be really useful when you change things wrong).
The design seems a little bit old fashioned, but it really doesn't matter. You can edit something that other person is editing too, and you can overwrite the changes.
Documentation always available and up to date. Changelog.
Simplicity, accessibility from anywhere, from desktop or mobile. The fact that it is a scalable system that grows together with your business. The pricing is affordable & you can choose also a minumim license to start with a small budget.
It is not possible to connect folders that contain files as you can do in other software. The plug-in pricing system is linked to the number of available licenses and it is not possible to pay only for some users.
Sharing knowledge with all our contact centers worldwide. Thanks to Confluence, our operators can quickly respond to our customers' questions. All the necessary information is available in one place and is well organized and is searchable simply.
Confluence is like Google Docs on steroids. It is a collaborative digital workspace that allows you to integrate directly into your other Atlassian Products. You can tag your Jira items and create live metrics to track your progress
If your developers are already working in JIRA, asking them to also update confluence is a big task. It does integrate pretty seamlessly but needed a lot of work from the business team to get it set up initially.
Content management has been a big issue especially with the high turnover of contractors in our company. Confluence allows us to receive documents in real time and store them on a cloud so they never get lost.
The awesome format Enaught controls Jira integration
Sometines is dificult create a article where you want
All documentation
Confluence is great for ensuring that ideas, documentation, requirements, RCA's and just about anything else you can write down is stored and displayed for your entire team / organization to collaborate on.
There's not much to dislike other than the plugin's and their various pricing. So you have to really do some research to ensure you get a quality plugin at a price which is doable for your organization. The good news is that most offer free trials.
Confluence really allows our teams to collaborate not just on a single document but on entire groups and sections. Also since the collaboration is on demand we can each work on something, be updated on the changes and then followup and do what we need to.
The way it keeps all the files and folder and its structure, we can have multiple files organized at same place on the left and we can navigate them in a very good way
To be honest i love confluence becuase of its structure and i dont have annything to dislike about
Information sharing across the organization in a easy manner
I like the fact that it’s very simple to use, fast and useful.
I would like a bit more colors, animations to enhance the product.
I’m using it to solve some tasks from my boss. Were are in IT services
Great product for internal storage and is actually extremely easy to use from an admin and also user point of view
The only thing i can say is they can improve is thye ability to customize pages but they actually provide you with all of the necessary tools needed to create a nice standard look.
It allows me basically to build my own internal company web pages that includes any relevant information that my team or anyone with access to the pages needs.
so easy to use and i like the simplicity, customizable.
we need some time to use it but after it's ok, it's hard to find the good thing you search for, sometime
for IT business developpement.
The search engine is amazing, searching in pages, but also into documents uploaded to the software, such as pdf and word files.
Maybe it is sometimes too simple... permissons on sites are sometimes hard to profile.
we've set a centralized documentation site where everybody can contribute.
Great tool for tracking project work, tasks, issues, bugs and communications to stake holders.
Not that i can think of anything. It is a great tool.
Change Management Project Management tasks Bug and Issue tracking Communication and Collaboration
Confluence is a great software. Our company use it to share, find and collaborate stuff for work.
One thing I dislike about confluence is sometimes is hard to navigate certain topic because it's overly populated.
It a cool search engine specially when I was starting in our company. It has all the answers for new employees but it gets overwhelming sometimes.
The ability to tag team-mates, share live views of the experience, toggling the level of severity, and updating via threads and comments.
the UI is not the prettiest... but it absolutely gets the job done.
Project Management, Escalation Management, and easy visibility of progress
Everything is simple to understand and easy
It is a little bit the same everywhere.
To work
It is great to create an internal knowledge base and write detailed descriptions of product features.
I really like it but if I had to change one thing, it would be the design, to be honest. It is so white.
We are building an internal KB with Confluence about our product. regulations, and etc. Besides this, we use it for product stuff too.
