The all-in-one capability of ActiveCampaign is amazing. All my leads and deals in one place is life-changing.
The only downside that I've found so far is that I can't view specific people who've clicked or opened an email. I would have to individually go into each contact.
Lead acquisition and nurtuing.
The ease of creating automations is good.
Sometimes no explanations for the odd problem are given.
It enables my work to reach people 24/7 all around the world.
I like the ease of use, support and the power of the automations.
Price is a bit high but only a minor dislike.
Used for my membersite and integrates nicely with my tech stack using AC automations.
Deals, automation and CRM and lead management
nothing i can think of at the moment, i enjoy most of the platform
I keep track of my dealflow so no deals fall through the cracks, and deliver personalized messages so I know my prospects get moved down the right path.
It has great deliverability rates, has powerful built in automations, is easy to use & navigate, has excellent customer support and is reasonably priced. I also like how it grows with your business and you can get additional features as and when you need them.
The email builder isn't as good as it could be but I know a new email builder is being released very soon! I am confident that the new email builder will resolve the things I think could currently be improved.
I am able to communicate with my audience as a whole and know that my communications are being seen and read. I also enjoy the automation which allows me to nurture my audience and be able to send them communications based on what they like so that communications are tailored.
The new email editor update is a godsend.
I would like an updated dashboard to navigate all that occurs at a glance.
It gives me a space to create Kanban boards of all clients & customers and move them through onboarding.
I love how easy it is to create email campaigns and send to my contact list which grows daily through integrations. I also love that I can repurpose previous campaigns.
I wish the unsubscribe list was clearly visible and that I did not have to research to see who is on that list. It's not hard to find but I wish it was on a forward facing dashboard.
I have been able to send out mass emails and schedule emails to go out to my contacts. I use it to track open rates and know who I need to reach out to.
Active Campaign is a robust platform, and there is a lot to take in. However the customer support has been first rate. They respond quickly and provide the resources I need, whether that's getting on a zoom or recording a video to walk me through the a process. It has integrated with all of the other platforms I use easily. The value versus the cost is definitely in my favor. If you're looking for a CMS this is it.
nothing really, initially I was concerned about having too many tools and options and that I didn't need them all, but as I have caught up to marketing Active Campaign provides everything I need
collecting data in one place that I can use with other marketing tools - my business includes three separate languages and Active Campaign is very flexible. AC allows me to keep my customers engaged
simple to use , segmentation, can be more detailed if you like
can be too complex and complicated , I am confused sometimes.
automating my email list, tagging them, segmenting them.
Automations are very easy to use, the Deals function can be modified to fit a variety of needs, email campaigns are easily customizable.
Sometimes errors or duplicate sends are difficult to figure out the cause, but customer support is quick to respond and find and fix the error.
Automating my responses to website inquiries saves my front desk hours of time, tracking client information, using tasks in place of separate to-do lists
Generous 1-1 training support makes a huge difference
would be awesome if Active Campaign added new feature to show history of email cadences sent and opened in a tighter summary view.
The automation sequence saves so much time sending follow up emails. Lots of great features that let you segment your list and automatically move contacts to difference stages in the pipeline based on their behavior (actions) they take.
I love how easy is to set up complex automation and how customer service is always there to assist if needed.
I'd love to see some other affordable options for small businesses
ActoveCampaign helps me with nurturing my leads and clients
- Always available support - Instant chat - FREE strategy calls - FREE account diagnosis calls - Easy visual automation builds - Integrations with key tools we use for our business -Minimal problems (we previously used Keap and always experienced buggy behavior). -My #1 tool of choice for businesses wanting to scale and segment and automate... I have used many others and have tried others... but it's still my number one after 5 years! -Easy campaign builders -Easy to train non techy team members
Sometimes the servers can lag, I can understand since there is so much going on... but from time to time you'll change the font or color in a campaign and the changes do not take affect and you need to reach out to support to help. I would say 1-2x a month for MINIMAL IMPACT items. We tried AC conversations and out of all the features I would say this one is the worst. We moved to Intercom after 4 weeks.
We've definitely been able to cut down manual onboarding, and when time allows we've been finding ways to elevate what we're doing ... not everything can be achieved in a day, but over the last 7 months that I have used THIS tool for THIS business (I have used it for myself and other clients in the past), we have slowly cut back elsewhere and have been able to start relying on AC more! Onboarding, customer management, and our newly launched sales team benefit from the tool.
I love the automations, integrations, templates, support, scheduling, design, tutorials. Very intuititve and easy to figure out.
Sometimes there's an undo button & sometimes not, there's no calculation for optimal time to send emails-I have to guess. Creating & naming a segment for a campaign isn't the most intuitive.
I don't have t rely on a VA to create automations & triggers, I can create & edit my own. It's super simple once you go through it once. I can easily send emails to different segments, scheduled & immediate. There are so many templates for newsletters, and the ability to save personal templates. Many different block choices to use in the design process & easy to edit.
I love the drag & drop simplicity of building campaigns
I am yet to find anything I don't like in the software
Active Campaign is making it easy for me to engage with my clients and build better relationships
Active Campaign keeps the communication flowing at all stages of the consumers journey. It keeps so much of the day-to-day repetitive tasks working smoothly in the background.
It is a lot to learn and some of the UX interfaces aren't as intuitive as they could be.
We don't waste as much time weeding out unqualified leads at the beginning of the funnel and it allows us to service our existing customers with high information needs at the end of the funnel
I have been using active campaign for more than two years. I started using it as a generalist marketing consultant, back then I didn't know that I would love email marketing this much, but after discovering active campaign I became obsessed with it, and specializing me help me increase my income as an email mkt specialist. During this time I had a chance to test each competitor (Mailchimp, mailerlite, hubspot, etc) and I can confidently say active is with great advantage the easiest to use and the one with the best automation features. I has plenty of integrations, the visual (flux diagram) automation builder it's intuitive and it works great with slack, Wordpress, make.com (formerly integromat) and more. I is also very easy to understand contacts classification: you have lists and tags, it is very straightforward. Their CRM also works great combined with automations, but it is designed mostly for B2B businesses, although I have found way to make it useful for B2C.
Pricing is the first thing to reach my mind when I think about active campaign, it is a little more expensive than their competitors, but I have found paying the difference totally worth it. On the second hand, cleaning your lists and taking out contacts that are inactive or unengaged is not a very easy task to perform, I would like it more if they improved that. But most ESPs are exactly the same, it is in their best interest to make you keep as many contacts as possible as this affects pricing upwards, this is an industry-wide practice. Even when you take this into account email marketing will continue to be the channel with the best ROI we can possibly have.
I currently use it for an e-learning business on which I am the growth lead. We use it to automate the remainders we send to students before each class, to send all relevant information once they buy the course -also automated-, to drive leads into customers with nurturing sequences, and much more.
Easy to use, easy to learn, friendly UI. We build systems at Inspecticore using the method D.E.A.L. Define, eliminate, automate, liberate. Active campaign helps us perform the E and A parts of our systems, esp those connected with marketing and engaging after events.
I don't have the biggest package so sometimes the metrics aren't what I want. That being said they still are very solid at the mid-level. I had an issue with the AI email reporting, that is getting resolved still.
We're solving a lot of different problems in our company, not only automating marketing, and increasing accountability with our reps, but also getting really tight metrics to determine the ROI and effectiveness of different sources and marketing and sales activities.
In our small B2B business, we use it in both the design and marketing departments. The design department uses the mass e-mail tools - the campaigns and their reports. Yet the marketing team focuses on the customers' interactions with those campaigns, categorizing those interactions and generating pipelines to perform actions. The best part are the automations! "If the contact opened this e-mail and clicked on that link, send this other e-mail in 3 days". It is a powerful tool for creative minds.
The processing of big amount of data can take some time and I am sometimes afraid to do too many database changes at once - AC takes some time but does get it all sorted out!
AC helps us do a proper tracking of the interest some clients show and take all the opportunities we get to get something out of any interaction our clients have with our webpage or our e-mail marketing.
The open API flexibility and the ability to work with so many different applications are what I love most. In the legal world, almost all of our software applications are closed so not very practical. AC has allowed me to design my own systems for not only getting new clients but managing them as well.
The Interface could be a little "warmer". That is a minor issue however. I do wish AC had better support because my staff is not as technical as I am and they seem to always have issues working with the support team.
Keep tabs on prospective clients and closing the sign-up process. It also allows me to keep current clients notiified about their cases and court actions quickly and efficiently. I save about 3-4 legal admin staff or a typical law firm by our implementation of AC.
