WooCommerce is the top choice for eCommerce businesses on WordPress. While it’s not a standalone site builder, it works seamlessly with the WordPress environment which makes it easy to use and simple, even for beginners. Anyone familiar with WordPress will find WooCommerce a great tool as they attempt to build out their site. WooCommerce works well with add-ons and integrations, with tools that include email marketing, social media selling, and one-click upsells. It does require basic coding know-how and developer insight as you scale the site, but learning the ins and outs of the platform ultimately makes management of the site so much simpler.

Woocommerce allows you to build fantastic websites with complete control over nearly every element of design, but the back end functionality can be confusing or unwieldy at times.
Woocommerce's order fulfillment and tracking system is not as intuitive as some competitors' products, and as a result, we ended up moving to a competitor. However, there are certain situations or businesses for which Woocommerce is a stronger contender.
If you switch from a more restrictive platform, Woocommerce can provide refreshing customization abilities.
WooCommerce is great. It features quality support services and an opportunity to promote small business sales.
The only downside is that sales have not increased to meet quota. However, I do not attribute this fact to the program itself.
We have increased sales through the use of WooCommerce and have created new contacts that will better improve relationships with consumers and competitors.
I liked that you could set up the most basic storefront and get things rolling very quickly. If I wasn't as picky as I am, I would have you used the most basic themes and opened up shop. But I'm picky so I spent a lot more time customizing our storefront. The ability to add plugins so quickly is also a game changer. There are so many plugins available and WooCommerce easily configures them for your storefront with a simple install.
I wish that the themes available for storefront were a little more in depth. There would be no way I would want to open up shop without hours of customizing the theme. But not everyone is like that. That was just one of the harder things to do.
WooCommerce allows us to sell to customers all over the world. Setting up shop can be done so quickly without having to use any custom HTML or CSS. The ability to sell everywhere, and ship everywhere is wonderful! I also like to automatic messages that are send out to customers after they have placed their order.
I was completely new to ecommerce when I started this project. Looking back, what I like best about Woo is that it has everything you need to get a store off the ground with minimal knowledge of ecommerce. Shop, cart, and checkout process would have been daunting to figure out separately, but Woo has all of that stuff pre-built and ready to go.
Now that I've been hammering away at it with a decent-sized volume of customers/transactions, I am starting to dislike how beholden I am to plugins and their limitations. While the bigger plugin developers seem to be pretty responsive, I don't always get the answer I want, and have had to figure out workarounds more than once.
Needed a store that wasn't on a "we do everything for you" platform. This was a nice balance of DIY and pre-built. I'm not sure we've eclipsed sales/conversions from the older platform, but we have more say in design and function.
The transfer is the form of payment that presents the least technical complication and is very easy to configure hence I like it
Keep in mind that to use this application requires technical knowledge, if you do not have it is not highly recommended.
I'm not solving a gun problem right now. At the time the benefits were the fastest form of payment.
It's free to install and there a lot of plugins and extensions available to suit your business needs.
Since it's an open platform, sometimes third party add-ons aren't built right and cause conflicts. It's also a chore finding the right one to use.
Making money globally via multicurrency is possible.
Anyone without any technical knowledge can set up his/her e-commerce store without hassle. Do not require large server configurations. Easy installation with an intuitive and interactive procedure so that anyone can take advantage of this platform for setting up his/her webshop. There are free builders available in the market which can help the user to create his/her webshop easily with better UI and UX.
Lack of customizations in this framework is a major disadvantage. You cannot think of scaling your webshop in the future with woocommerce. Multi-store view functionality is still not available in this framework. The framework structure is not as good as other competitors in the market which inturns result in lack of customizability.
We are helping small merchants to set up their e-commerce store in minimum time and cost so that they can invest their money in other important areas to set up their business.
Easy installation and used the store for business
Not all updates good works and regular conflict with plugins
More customers, easy for sales online
Of you want something robust to sell online this is your choice.
Probably the difficulty of using shipping information and pricing.
Ecomerce
I like that it works really well with WordPress and takes into account a lot of necessary features such as delivery areas and coupon codes. Someone with little eCommerce experience can figure out how to use this to meed their needs with little difficulty.
I dislike that a lot of its best features are behind a paywall and that establishing a delivery area is determined by zipcode.
It is an eCommerce platform with a simple user experience that is very intuitive. Very good for creating an eCommerce website for clients if one works at a digital agency and needs to make the website maintainable for the client.
The functionality of Woocomerce is one of the best right now in this constantly growing market.
The backend is like frozen for the last few years. I think it is time for some change. Plus the options for front-end development need to be more, with more flexibility.
Woocomerce helps me with his commercial features. I think right now it's the best solution for me, without taking in mind that it is free.
Easy to implement and manage, offers the essentials needed to operate an ecommerce site, also very extensible with plugins
Out of the box promo engine is lacking, and backend interface can be clunky
Quick implementation and ease of use
It was easy to implement, provided for our needs with integration with paypal.
It was difficult to integrate and required quite a few plugins for our wordpress site. If everything could have been done with a single plugin site loading time could have been improved.
We used woocommerce to build our wedding website and our gift registry, as people were coming from across the country.
Very user friendly and easy for beginners to use. Straight forward and does all the basics
It doesn't do as much as I need it to do.
Selling my products online easily
The best thing for Woo-commerce is that they have many beautiful themes to select, and they have many good plugins for e-commerce. It also can run on Google Cloud.
We are building a multiple vendor frontend/backend system. We did meet some limitation on customization of plugins. The reporting tool seems to need you spend the time to explore. They don't provide very insightful analysis.
we actually migrate from Magento to WooCommerce, now we are able to build a much beautiful website, and we successfully build a better brand image for our retail customers.
The buttons are easy to work with, you can add or remove items easily.
There aren't options to arrange or categorize the items by a theme.
It allows my customers to purchase items from my website and also create an account for future purchases.
With woocommerce building an e-commerce website just got easier. We just need to simply install the plugin an we are good to go!
It's quite hard to understand how to setup woocommerce at first use. But it will get easier when you use it more
I can cut the cost to hire a web developer by building the website by myself instead!
WooCommerce is fairly easy to use. Loading products is simple, and with the wordpress community there are thousands of plugins available to enhance the experience
I am not a developer, so I found that the customization required to bring WooCommerce to a point that was questionably worth the effort. The costs of the system can also add up fairly quickly. Once you start looking into things like subscriptions and other plugins the yearly costs stack up.
Ability to sell online. Increased conversion over other, older platforms
It pairs well with WordPress, which powers many great websites, but it has more potential for bugs and issues as many of the software is written and managed by third-party vendors and individual developers and as a result the quality can be variable.
Many plugins are very well written, but some aren't or are no longer maintained. WooCommerce itself has good support, but the vendors that create plugins may have lackluster or no support at all.
eCommerce integration and setup for existing WordPress websites. The benefits are there for certain circumstances compared to other popular options like Shopify. If you want to custom the experience, or are prepared to write your own in-house code for advanced integration with other services than it can be a greta option.
The fact that its a plugin makes it really easy to download, set up and use. It's very user-friendly, and if you're okay with not having more advanced features, the tool can be free.
Certain features and capabilities to customize require you to upgrade to a paid version.
WooCommerce has been fantastic for helping my business get an online store going without investing a lot of money or energy. It's been a great launching point for my online business.
