I really like being able to prepay a set amount and let it run optimizing, either on the fly or in batches.
Sometimes I've had issues with their CDN service, which occasionally encounters errors with our website cache or my host's CDN.
When many separate users contribute images, they often upload massive files that serve poorly and take up a lot of space on the server. ShortPixel helps serve files that are faster and better optimized for the end-user and cuts down file size on the server. I also like that they can convert to WebP dynamically.
Shortpixel does what it says it does. Its image compression is effective and creates compact sizes without the risk of losing quality.
I think the pricing is a bit too high and sometimes I have had issues with compression where I had to run it again to get the correct results.
During our web development stage, we were able to effectively compress our image library saving valuable space and increasing load time.
Bulk optimization feature is best for WordPress user. It really helps you to improve your blog performance.
The pricing is little bit too high. Customer support is slow.
Image optimization is one of the many problems I solving with this amazing software. It helps me to improve my wordpress blog speed and also applies the lazy load features which is very helpful.
The best thing about the plugin is that it helps in image compressions. I am using WordPress and it works perfectly whenever I add any image.
There is not any particular reason for disliking the product but they can make it a subscription-based model and remove the credits base system.
It helps in image compressing that eventually helps our SEO and makes our site faster.
Shortpixel is our go-to for speeding up our site and having beautiful images without hurting our site speed and boosting our google scores for desktop and mobile so now we have a fast site.
Pricing and knowing what plans you need so you don't have our site lag or have image loading problems. Have had issues in the past where this doesn't load problem
Short pixel has speed up our site considerably and improved our site scores meaning we can rank higher online and have better SEO and more business for our clients.
ShortPixel is the best tool for image compression on the net, have a nice plugin for wordpress I try several tool like wp-smush, wpcompress but ShortPixel bring the best results The solution of shortPixel bring is decreasing file size while maintaining image quality, so you can delivery content more faster without losing quality I love about Shortpixel is - Super easy to use. - Easy to setup - Really Afordable pricing - Several Plans - Wordpress plugins and API - Bulk Process - PDF support - Transform to other formats - Many options (like compress thumbails or not, api, backup) - Agency options Also the pricing is really good, because you can choose a montly plan or a quota, this is really good if you need to compress 1 time alot of images.
The only counter is you cannot compress the thumbails on one quality and the other images on other quality. Would love if they add remove backup like wpcompress I try the cdn and hate it, not good and they go expensive. I do recomend avoid that
I use to compress the images on my website on automatic, very fast and amazing result. The best on the game.
ShortPixel Image Optimizer is an incredibly powerful WordPress Plugin. With this Wordpress Plugin you can compress images of different formats: GIF, PNG and JPG. And the most interesting thing for me, is that You can even compress PDF documents and also provides the option to keep the original images in a separate folder. It is a simple but very useful tool to reduce space and size without losing quality the images you want
It has a limited capacity of images that you can compress. You can only compress 100 images per month in the free version. And the waiting time in the conversion is decent but it can be improved
In my department we have a type of internal bulletin that is published in Wordpress and, sometimes, we need to share large images that we obtain through our design softwares. As well as other times we need to share PDF documents that, when compressed, are easier to share and download.
It's all done in the cloud. No need to reupload a bunch of images. It can be done either with their wordpress plugin or through their site
Lossy compression....sometime the compression can happen to the detriment of the image quality
Not having to reupload wordpress images in order to have them optimized and not slow load time Slow load time of funnel pages for clients
I have used multiple apps to try to help me reduce sizes in images over the past few months and so far short pixel has been one of the better ones. I like the pricing plans the most as they aren’t too pricy like a few I’ve seen.
Since I just started using it, I haven’t had any time to find any issues yet. So far everything is pretty self explanatory since I do have experience in softwares like these
Because of the image optimization things have become easier since I have plenty space left
Its interface is easy to use, I used it as the WordPress plugin, easy to use, and one-click optimization for 1000s of images. It's the ability to remove EXIF data just by checking the box in the settings. I also love that it can convert pictures to WebP.
The thing I most dislike about short pixel is, it won't remove the big images from the server even though there is an option for it and when rechecking those files will get compressed again creating more files and wasting credits. Sometimes already optimized images will load again.
The Main Problem with my client's website was, "It was slow" and the main reason is, the images on the website, there were 1000s of Images and each image has a size of 2-4 MB. So we use ShortPixel to compress and optimize those images and it did the job, instead of manually doing it, one-click completes the work, and also WebP conversion is an amazing feature, it boosts website speed as well as SEO
It compresses every image I upload (even thumbnails). It converts them to webp, so website is fast. When I first installed it, I had a lot of images, so I had the option to purchase one time credits instead of a subscription model.
Nothing really. There is nothing not to like… perhaps the Robot's color could be grayer?
My website is faster. Images get compressed automatically and they have a generous free tier of 100 credits/month (you can increase it via referrals in increments of 100 credits/referral, or by 7k credits with a cheap subscription).
ShortPixel makes it very easy to install and begins optimizing your images almost immediately.
I don't know that I have anything to go here. ShortPixel does everything it proposes and I haven't had any issues.
As an agency, we regularly run into clients that have poorly optimized sites. Installing and running ShortPixel quickly compresses images and other files, improving page load speed very quickly.
this app came is very handy when I realized too late (after +50 blog posts) that I should have been optimizing all my photos before uploading them on the site. I was dreading this task. When I finally decided to try short pixel I couldn't believe how easy it was - and how they were able to compress all my photos in a just a click of a button. I also like that with one license you can have multiple sites.
There isn't really anything I dislike, it's been great.
compressing my photos already on my site and further compressing them when I upload photos going forward.
ShortPixel has assisted our graphics department with resizing images without additional hassle on our end. We absolutely love utilizing this tool and this has reduce the amount of other photo editing subscriptions s.
There is nothing to dislike about Shortpixel!
Resizing photos has never been easier for my colleagues! Other photo editing applications are cluttered with advance tools that our company doesn’t use.
One of the best things about Shortpixel is that it optimizes images in bulk. We recently migrated our publishing site to a new host and Shortpixel quickly and successfully optimized all the images without any extra effort on our part. Plus, our site still loads fast even with all the new images.
I don't have any complaints about Shortpixel. It does what it promises and it does it well.
Optimizing images without losing quality or website load times.
Affordable plans with occasional lifetimes credit deals and very compatible and regularly updated plugins for WordPress. Ability to create temporary API keys or sub-accounts and then assign credits to them. Also, I like the ability to optimize images stored in Google Drive by simply linking your drive account with Shortpixel, no download or upload is required from the user's side. Very convenient service.
There isn't much to dislike with this service, as most of the core features work pretty well. Although I would appreciate the ability to optimize multiple images simultaneously when bulk optimizing images in a WordPress website.
I am severely decreasing the file size of images on my websites, which helps in increasing the website speed. Also, the free CDN integration which comes with the plan is appreciated.
It compresses image sizes well and helps them load faster. I like that it will automatically compress images on your website.
I only dislike that I can't pick the order of images to compress, although I really don't have room to complain since we use the free version.
I don't have to take time to compress photos manually when I add them to the website. ShortPixel will automatically do it for us.
I personally like the glossy image compression option which i used on my site. I reduce image loading time and speed up my website loading speed.
I found nothing to dislike till now. Just prices should be reasonable for the upgrade.
I can see image loading speed reduced after using this tool. I am happy with the image quality seen on the website also. I will surely recommend it to everyone.
It's very intuitive to use. Other offerings are more complicated to get around.
The credit system. It would be nice if there were an option to get more credits straight from WordPress.
Our website is slow. Using ShortPixel helps to alleviate some of the issues with speed.
