Mixpanel focuses on increasing the innovation rate both for itself and for the companies that are part of its clientele, this is done through an interaction product, it allows us to analyze as a company why our users get involved and in what way They make and start from this information to improve our services and / or products, in a few words as a user, it helps me to generate a sales funnel and to follow up accordingly to obtain positive results.
Its functional list is very good but I think you probably need to import your own data and create your own visualizations, since, this is based on the third-party library search engine, the data is also duplicated and this is quite unpleasant not usually happens all the time but when it happens, it immediately hinders my workday.
We use it to evaluate the data obtained by implementing the sales funnel that the application allows us to generate, and adopt certain characteristics to the product or service, in order to understand the mass of users and analyze their behavior, all these data obtained we use them to generate presentations and planning strategies to boost the impact produced in the market.
The app allows to create leads and funnel. These leads help in making the decisions on the basis of analysis. This analysis can be done on the basis of various aspects that user provides in the leads. It works very efficiently when process of sending and receiving of messages is required.
The app does not support in gathering data. Users have to provide the data and can use the tool after inserting data. After that users have to create their own visualizations. It also duplicates the data if some same nature of action is done. Users login rules are not easy to follow. The instructions are very difficult to follow.
Mixpanel is an analytical tool that helps in getting accurate and targeted information about the behavior of the customer. The tool helps in strategies development and decision making process of the companies.
Mixpanel gives you a proper insight of your user and it also assists the ventures to keep a track of acquisition, referral and revenue. It also offers a very convenient implementation and installation.
You need to have a proper command on it first to fully understand and operate it, hence the learning curve is steep. The dashboard is also relatively complex. And flow diagrams cannot be pinned to it as well.
It is ideal for observing the user behaviors and has excellent data tracking algorithms with accurate collection of data.
Its main feature is its easy handling, it allows to easily detect user behavior data without having to be intervened by other means. It works best when the data entered is correctly labeled, otherwise the platform will not be of great help.
We can get carried away by only part of the program in terms of its operation, we focus on only one function, leaving behind many functions that can be of great help for our future activities within the organization. We must take full advantage of all the tools it provides. When you have doubts about how to handle the system take time to respond, the tool is quite expensive.
We use this tool within the organization to send notifications to all users who use our application, the tool gives us an extensive amount of information about the attitude and behavior of our customers, in turn it is easy to configure, provides the necessary data in An understandable format that allows you to make decisions quickly.
The interface is very user-friendly, even for complicated and demanding analyses. The regular software updates make Mixpanel a very up-to-date system.
Restrictions on user log in permission options, and the expensive price.
Business analytics, tracking customer activity, customizing notifications to make them customer-specific.
- Works across web, mobile, and other platforms - Easy to set up events and funnels - People profiles with the ability to directly email them or send a push notification to a target user or group
- Steep pricing for the people module if you are a B2C company. A lot of people who sign up will never use the product so we need to periodically clean them up. - At the same time, no grouping of B2B users under one customer organization umbrella (tbh, I haven't seen any analytics tool that does that).
- Analyzing funnels - Analyzing user behavior
The live view of events in real-time. We almost instantly receive the actions that user did in the live-view and that's really great.
Not very intuitive UI in some cases. Meaning in some cases it's hard to find what you're looking for specifically. Also maybe improve a little bit the filtering options, so that it's easier to combine multiple filters into one.
It helps us with understanding on how our users are using our product, therefore we know what new features to develop and how to improve the existing ones.
I like the different views of per user, funnel and events. Being able to easily integrate and analyse the data is extremely helpful!
That you can't dig in between the different views. so if is see in a funnel that 30 ppl did event X, i want to be able to then go to when they did it to understand the flow better. I want to be able to compare conversion of a funnel with and without a specific event. this is something that is really missing. also. when I group together a few event to a custom event, i want to be able to then later filter by which of the event it was.
engagement with a feature conversion of different landing pages
Session recordings are the most likely things in mix panel
i don't dislike any thing from mix panel all are good. JQl should be more usable.
End user experience is the first priority for us. We are seeing how our clients are interacting with our website
Mix panel gives a big understanding in what the user has exactly done.
it has so much info it's sometimes unclear,. very hard to use the filters in order to search the user by email or any other filter
It helps me understand exactly ehat the user does inside the appp. gives me insights
I love that I can get an in-depth understanding of user's behaviour irrespective of what type of product we're building - e-commerce, SaaS, or B2C.
Has a lot of developer dependency to set up. I wish it was more non-tech friendly during setting up/ while adding new events. Even when a developer is setting up Mixpanel events, it takes at least an entire day of developer's time.
We use Mixpanel to understand how our users use our product. It helps us improve various aspects of our funnel.
easy to use, easy to implement, CS is very professional
1. some standard feature that im use to use in analytic tools densest exist in mixpanel for example - frequency use use 2. people events vs usage event - for example i cannot send message to customers that did more than 10 searches in the past week 3. cohort distribution - i cannot ask a simple question such as what is the age distribution of my customers and cross it with usage 4. CS - email -> chat 5. sending email messages - doesnt work well
analyzing cusotmer usage comunicate with them via in app, push, email making bussins decition affect our roadmap
I like the user interface, it's pleasant. I like the constant updates and willingness to improve.
Difficulty to validate the accuracy of mixpanel. I suspect that some events are missed but it's very difficult to debug. Also, some users don't have all the proper parameters and I couldn't figure out why. Lack of proper action items - I usually don't feel I know what to do with all the data. Some metrics or tools in mixpanel are hard to understand, so I don't use most of them. For example, it is very difficult to understand for me the retention tab. Not sure what kind of retention is actually being measured. Mobile app is very limited - missing the explore function for example Difficulty to set up marketing channel attribution
I am trying to measure appropriately our KPI's and keep track of our users. I managed to keep track of simple metrics around traction but couldn't wrap my head around more deeper insights and metrics
The ability to get quick snapshots of the current state things are in. It is easy to create dashboards that reference the information that is important to me.
I dislike how difficult it can be to uncover problem in the data. Sometime an even is implemented incorrectly or data is exported differently than I expected. It can be difficult to 1)identify that the data is inaccurate or not what I thought and 2) find a way to resolve it
We are primarily using Mixpanel to assess usability. We often reference the data when we are making US decisions and decided how to prioritize out work.
Powerful query UIs. Clean, simple to use interfaces. Reliable service.
JQL could have more intellisense to make writing queries easier.
Understanding how our users use our app, and getting information for debugging issues.
The ease with which we can create the funnels
The segmentation and insights part could be made better
We use it to check the effectiveness of the changes that we make on our website.
I really love the live view feature. It's something other platforms don't offer. I like that you can filter this live view too. It's very useful.
Sometimes I don't quite know how to answer a certain question. i would also like to know how to set up user types etc.
Early adoption KPIs of a user forum.
I love the easy to use funnels- very intuitive.
I don't like that you can't see an event in a funnel for a particular number of times. (i.e. customer sent X number of emails)
In app analytics
Flexible, pre-built reports. The organization quickly becomes addicted to the insight. Also, as long as you're pumping a lot of data and know the reports you can answer just about any question very quickly.
Takes a while to learn how to use but they're getting better at this. Not sure if this is a super solvable problem for a reports based product. Also, I wish they made it an easier or more forceful part of the implementation process to define things properly for DAU, MAU, etc. Also a little pricey.
Help me know what features are being used. Help me know my DAU's and MAU's. Help me find my magic metrics to increase retention or conversion. Help me message to customers based on usage criteria (they're still weak here).
Great to implement granular events and understand how users take specific actions.
Funnel product and retention charts are a bit clunky. They feel tacked on afterwards.
Mixpanel helps understand how users navigate and user a product from a quantitative perspective. It helps you to realize where there are usage dropoffs or how often a feature is being utilized.
