Memberstack makes it easy to get started with user guides, proper community forums and helpful tips.
There are a few edge-cases that cause issues further down the line.
We've created a full membership site using Webflow + Memberstack API.
I love the little amount of actual coding necessary to create a membership website with memberstack. Also, you can customize a significant number of things that you wouldn't be able to with members on a website builder.
If I had to choose, there are a few limitations with memberstack that can be frustrating. With that being said, I'm usually able to find workarounds if those inconveniences are solved, wow.
I solved the problem of creating a membership website for clients using Webflow. I realized that Memberstack was a quick and easy solution for creating a membership website with Webflow.
We could enable the MVP of our solution for companies using MemberStack and other no code tools. It worked so well that we start to sell our solution even in the early stage! The killing features are: 1) login and restrict area; 2) show/hide content according to memberships and 3) easy integrations with Webflow, Zapier, Heap, Stripe and other tools.
It still has to code for advanced features and integrations, so sometimes we need to hire devs.
We deliver "white label" learning platform for companies with shared content and live training, so we can set up the program, customize the design for each companie and register the content consumption of each identified user.
The functionnality to gate content, and to be able to make a website more interactive with a customer area.
Some missing features for different type of subscriptions.
Login, Logout, memberships. I went from manual to full automatic.
I like the ease of use of Memberstack. I was able to my membership site up and running within a day. Doesn't get easier than that. Also provides the functionality I need to make the user experience more custom.
I can get a little lost in the UI of the Memberstack dashboard. It could be a little bit better organized to make it easier to navigate.
I have been able to build a community of health professionals to help people find the support they need along their health and wellness journey. I've been able to gate content for paid members which is one of the main benefits I've gone from using Memberstack.
Easy to install, low-code, works with my favourite tools like Webflow & Stripe. Very responsive support.
Could improve on user management, primarily in the area of mass editing/deletion. We had a bot attack and couldn't delete the 10s of thousands of fake accounts, but they were easily filtered out and their Recaptcha tool prevented future attacks. They could always integrate other tools / expand their offering into user messaging, support tools and have more CRM functionality down the line too.
Taking payments, creating subscription tiers, hiding members-only web pages, creating sign up portals and account management popups.
The fact that I dont need to manage my membership, create login screens etc. Also I can reuse the same members that are in my waiting list as members of my product
I am pretty happy with what I have seen so far. Everything works. Maybe some extra features would be great, but I guess these should be coming out soon!
Membership management Authorisation flows Customer Identity
We've been using Memberstack for over two years now. It has enabled us to launch MVP in a matter of days. And even after we've scaled from 10 to 1000s of users, its flexibility and easy of use keeps impressing us.
There are a couple of outstanding feature requests we'd love to see, but I can't think of anything we're disliking. I'm sure a lot of the small non-essential missing features will be covered with the launch of Memberstack 2.0.
User authentication can be really complex and expensive to set up. Memberstack makes this a breeze. We manage user access to our platform for 3 different stakeholder groups without issue through the Memberstack dashboard and their amazing Zapier integration.
The connection with Duda (our platform of choice is what made us try Memberstack and it's been great to create membership options easily without coding. This is a plug and play that had open many opportunities for us, without spending a lot in custom code or overly complex platforms.
It has a learning curve, much like other platforms. It took me a while to figure out some things intuitively but their support is very good and the knowledge base has all you need.
We have simple websites that need password-protected pages and other websites where our clients need membership (people with different access to different pages). Without having to move the website to a different platform we were able to do much without code and be up and running in a matter of hours. It saved us a lot of time of programming or custom code, while retaining the original website.
Member stack was pivotal to helping us get through Covid as we were able to build & adapt to the forever changing climate with a robust & versatile membership platform.
It has a little bit of a learning curve if you are new to code however, if you are verse in website design & development this is a go to tool for your arsenal.
Getting members subscribed paid for & behind a paywall efficiently. We have benefited substantially financially from it. And performance is fast at efficient.
Memberstacks granular features mean I can add depth to my private client platform; everything from member pages to more fine control of single member visibility. Easy to set up and manage.
I can't say that there is anything I dislike when it comes to day to day management. However Membrestack could do with more API features to allow moving members from one tier to the next.
I'm a designer rather than a coder so memberstack has been invaluable in enabling me to generate income through membership services both from and end user and web development customer means.
Memberstack is the best way to add gated content to your Webflow site. We have added gated client portals to our sites with full dashboards in minutes! On top of the ability to add much-needed features to your Webflow site, the Memberstack support team is second to none! Easy to use, makes our agency more money, and the support is outstanding; what more can you ask for?
At the end of the day, this is a no-code tool so there are going to be some limitations. If you find a limitation, someone in the support groups or forums likely has a solution, you may just have to do a little bit of digging!
Adding gated content to our agency site, which is used as client dashboards to manage all of our workflows with clients, as well as our payments. This has resulted in better, more accurate work as well as made it easy to set up monthly recurring payments without having to chase down clients every month.
Incredibly responsive and personal support. The fact I can setup the product and let the client take over, no problems, it just works.
lack of support for alternative payment providers
I have used it with many scenarios but it mainly solves the problem of providing a membership system that genuinely needs no regular maintenance.
Memberstack allows me to run my online business! Without it, I'm not sure where I'd be. It integrates with webflow perfectly and was very easy to setup. I love it.
One downside is that users are unable to signup using a Google, FB, or apple account. They are only able to signup via email address. It's not a huge deal, but I wish this feature was offered.
Memberstack solves my problem of being able to create a membership platform using webflow. It integrates perfectly and definitely makes my life easier. It's easy to manage members and helps me a lot.
- Integrations - Their support team - Pricing
Nothing particular, they're doing good! Waiting for 2.0 for more exiting features.
1. User authentication 2. Recurring memberships
The things that I love about using memberstack is that: 1. It is easy to integrate; even a no-code person can integrate the membership functionality. 2. Friendly user interface, once you are log in to the dashboard, you will notice a setup checklist which is very helpful when implementing this to your websit/s 3. There are tons of helpful resources available either on their site or on the setup page itself so that you won't get lost. Also, they have instructional videos for every website CMS a person could have. 4. They have API for front-end developers like me, which could help your custom workflow happen. 5. They are constantly updating their features. 6. You can have paid and free membership on your sites. 7. The best one is when setting up a membership; the configuration has these options where it shows what page it should redirect to, what it can access. It is state of the art very smooth experience for me. 8, The growing community helps you when you get lost, or I think you can feature request or they could help for your custom technical workaround
Maybe the pricing, but I think it is reasonable enough as they have developed it well. Some lacking features like custom flow, like 2-factor authentications, reset password or confirm membership registration would be helpful
Mostly membership sites for gyms, some are for classrooms.
What I like most about the tool is the UX and ease of use. Everything is very well explained during use and I hardly need to look for FAQs or forums to answer questions.
What I like least are some limitations related to the automated creation of user profiles and blocked pages for them. But my use case is very specific, it does not apply to the vast majority of people who use the product.
I am creating a paid members area for my startup's MVP. The main benefits of the product are the possibility of creating member areas in a simple and non-code way.
- The ease of integration into my Squarespace website. - The beautiful interface! It's awesome. Doesn't make my site look cheap. - Simple to use with very user-friendly messages. Never had issues learning to use the app. - Advanced features allow me to do fanciful conditional content in my Squarespace website. - Customisable! - Speed - no impact to my site speed - Memberstack cares about security (love it! -https://www.memberstack.io/legal/security)
- Some documentation is slightly out of date, but nothing major. - Can't find a bulk function to delete or edit members.
I am in a company running an event. We decided to put a Register-Gate on our website, requiring visitors to register with an email address before they can access an exclusive content. I got 6k members using Memberstack, and Memberstack more than delivers to what I was looking for! Moreover, I'm using Squarespace - not the most customisable choice out there - but Memberstack works like a charm. It is designed to work with any website that you can insert a header injection code and custom code on any page. Lastly, I had concerns from some users about data and privacy. When I looked into Memberstack's security policies, I am very happy to see that Memberstack takes security seriously and encrypts my members' data in their database.
MemberStack has the functionality and performance of a big software company combined with the caring support of a small business. It's incredibly easy to integrate into a website and they have lots of tutorials and help if you get stuck. I had no coding experience before using member stack and found it incredibly easy to use with Webflow. The interface is so clean, so it looks great on my website and the backend for me is so easy to navigate. If I need help they are only an email away and they are so quick to respond and help out. Amazing team. Would highly recommend for any membership capability you are planning.
Only suggestion would be making it possible for coupons to be more customised so they can be valid for a specific number of months etc. However, I can't think of anything else that would make it better!
Couldn't run my business without it! I run a site with paid memberships and it's crucial to customer and membership management.
It's INSANELY simple and one of the owners is a designer, in love with the design. Memberstack also gives you the option to style the user's account page.
I haven't found anything I don't like. The best part is the team at Memberstack offers a GREAT tutorial you can use to get started.
People can subscribe to my website for $5/month.
