iSpring is a PowerPoint add-in, so the interface is familiar to most users and supports ease of use. Text to Speech is fantastic for global training courses, and the interactive role-play scenarios, interactions and quizzes make lessons come to life! The convenience of sharing content for review and editing through iSpring Space is also essential and helpful. However, probably an overlooked feature is the very well-designed certification course that equips new users with fundamental training! Last but not least, they are constantly adding features, offering free training courses, and continuously improving the software!
I have no dislikes about iSpring and use the software frequently. They constantly update, fix issues, enhance the software, and ask for feedback. So any dislikes could be sent as feedback, and they will review and promptly respond.
There are high costs with seeking external vendors to provide targeted training courses. Developing internal technical training courses is a cost-saving approach, and iSpring Suite allows us to utilize that. Additionally, being a global company, many employees speak different languages and are in other countries. Learning courses must be provided to employees in their target language to be effective. iSpring Suite offers a text-to-speech option that fulfills the need for giving lessons in multiple languages and supports. The text-to-speech option also provides the flexibility of in-house translation, supporting cost-saving efforts.
We have purchased the iSpring Suite as well as iSpring Flip. These software's are exceptionally intuitive to the user and everything is very well-integrated. The icing on the cake however is the amazing Customer Service. Our Maintenance Plan had expired with iSpring Flip and when I accidentally updated to the new version I had an annoying watermark appearing on the doc. But Sandra and especially Paul from Customer Service came to my aid and helped me out within minutes. Some details on our Licence Certificates had to be changed and Sandra almost instantaneously fixed it for me. I also get regular emails from Lyuba and Polina giving me the latest news and seeing if I need any help. Overall, I sincerely commend this Amazing team ! The iSpring suite gives me the flexibility to create lots of interactions, quizzes & surveys and, the thing I love the most is the ability to create a simulated conversation wherein all my users enjoy doing such courses as it keeps them engaged. We implemented the Learn Upon LMS even before we got iSpring Suite and hence do not use the iSpring LMS. However, converting docs into SCORM as a zipped file is seamless and works best for us.
iSpring has a great content library but is not free. Very limited options in the free stuff. It gives us a Lifetime licence to use the product BUT upgrades are nearly the same cost as the original software. We are currently on version 8.7 but my boss refused to upgrade to 9.0 as the cost of the upgrade was not affordable. I strongly feel that upgrades as well as Maintenance Plans should be cheaper so that the customer doesn't feel the pinch. It's like buying an affordable car and not using it as much as the fuel price is not affordable.
Training staff has become a lot easier as the courses that we have created using iSpring are a loot more intuitive and engaging. We are seeing our users performance going up each year.
I think this program is as basic as adobe acrobat in the sense that it allows professionals to send out great looking and user friendly presentations and virtual trainings quite easily. It took me a week to become fluent in this software, as it is simply a plug-in for Powerpoint. It allows adding your own voice-overs and videos, which is great. Costumer service is phenomenal, they always answer in about an hour and their feedback is really detailed and useful. I was personally helped by Anna and Pavel who were just great! Very useful and well priced (Lifetime licenses! hope this wont change).
Downside: not compatible with Keynote, which is not great as Powerpoint is still in living in the 90's. I solved this by exporting my Keynote presentations as Quicktime videos and simply pasting the videos on the slides.
I am able to share this program with staff around my organization so that they can share their trainings and reach all 6000 staff members, which has saved us so far 3 trans-atlantic flights. Considering purchasing a few more licenses to share with regional offices.
The nice part was that with this tool we could create 1) feedback and evaluation forms and 2) convert existing PPT in SCORM compatible content easily and with professional outcome in order to meet our deadline. Also the compatibility with the iSpring Learn was a key factor for this choice. We still need to explore the other features/functionalities; which we will certainly do. There are quite some handy features/functionalities to explore.
With regard to iSpring Learn it would be good to have the option to customize the look and feel much more. Examples: 1) The image of the "Learning Path" image. Here we would like to add an image of the topic instead of the standard blue color. 2) Wording / terminology that would fit the corporate environment better a) Rename "learning path" into "program" b) Rename "course" into "module". c) Quiz ==> Test/Feedback The Android version allows you to download content for offline view and hence can conflict with IP and other commercial objectives. This really needs to be changed.
We are using this suite for converting part of our ILT into e-learning so that we can offer this training more or less instantly to participants all over the world at an acceptable cost. This way the participant can prepare themselves at ease for the class room session. For the coaches/trainers it means that deliver the course should be more easy and they can always refer and add extra material into the e-modules.
iSpring Suite allows us to create professional-looking training content with relative ease. Although it is a powerpoint add-in, the training material looks better than a traditional powerpoint presentation. There is very little training needed to start creating content. The online tutorials help when we have questions about how to use the various add-in features.
In the past, we had to purchase each add-in separately, which sometimes got confusing. The features have been combined into one purchase recently, allowing us to anticipate the annual costs for using the product.
We are a smaller organization, and we create all our internal training materials onsite. iSpring allows us to easily create content for our employees. It is a cost-effective way for us to provide top-notch training to our employees.
The iSpring platform allows me to work through Microsoft PowerPoint--already very familiar to me--but add learner interactions (ex., quizzes, knowledge checks, and opinion polls). That's the initial reason I chose it.
The annual subscription cost is high for those who don't have a large institution to pay for it, and a year goes by quickly. A one-time, lifetime software purchase plus a much smaller annual fee for the iSpring platform to host the trainings would be a more feasible model for most trainers I know.
I can easily incorporate a wide variety of learner engagement activities (for example, "choose your own adventure") into a formally boring PowerPoint. I love the diverse characters I can add and have used them to "host" trainings and to "interact" with each other and the learner. I've gotten great feedback from learners, including that the interactive presentations are actually fun. Depending on how creative you are and how much time you have, the sky's the limit with learner engagement. Another big plus for our team is that we can set the training certification quizzes to email us when trainings are completed, so we can see who passed the certification. And I can track user opinions from embedded polls.
iSpring Suite 8.7 is definitively well suited for developing easily interactive and engaging learning content that you can view on any device (desktop, laptop and mobile device). The learners can take their courseS anywhere and at any time. iSpring Suite is a PowerPoint add-in, which means that you have access to all the iSpring features from an only one place: the iSpring Suite tab in the PowerPoint ribbon. You find all the tools you need: a presentation conversion tool into online mobile-ready courses, a screen recorder with an audio-video editor, a conversation simulation tool, a couple of interactions (directory, timeline, FAQ and book), a content library which has been introduced with the version 8.7… and the quiz maker! I definitively like iSpring QuizMaker which is a fantastic tool for creating professional and interactive assessments with rich media and video. That’s fun designing engaging quizzes with feedbacks. You can mix the question types for increasing the learner engagement. The assessment feedback is a key point for the learner experience. The eLearning course assessment allows to measure the efficiency of a course and the learner progress. The assessment should be both helpful and instructive. iSpring QuizMaker offers everything you need for reaching your assessment goals. It’s so easy to record and/or add audio, images, hyperlinks in the feedback… and you can set the text (font, size…). You can configure the scoring as you want. That’s really flexible.
If you ask me what I dislike, I won't be able to answer this question... Why???? ...because I really like all the iSpring Suite features... and as an active iSpring Suite user, I always have ideas of new features. Features that I submit to the iSpring support. The features requests submitted by the users allow to improve iSpring Suite with new amazing features.
iSpring Suite allows us to develop engaging eLearning modules in a fraction of time and to create amazing assessments and quizzes with audio, video... and feedbacks. We also train iSpring Suite users and help them to develop their first eLearning modules.
It is cost-effective, efficient, and there's a wide variety of resources on the platform. It is also customisable according to your own content.
It lags and sometimes it is buggy when uploaded to the Learning management system, the format also sometimes appears wonky.
It helps to speed up the process of packaging online learning content which you can customise according to your needs and is more cost-effective.
