Documentation is not that great, and finding talent in the market is not easy. dotCMS support team is accommodating, but I wish dotCMS has professional services to help implementations directly. Documentation certainly needs improvement, and the company should invest in raising brand awareness and attracting more developers

Marketing content pages can be edited/created by the marketing team; we used to do a lot via the IT organization. This has increased our time to market and reduced our cost

The price and feature ratio was very good. Once we got our templates created everything works fantastic. Moreover, we were able to easily onboard business users without any technical background.

Permissions are very wonky. We had gotten all of our SSO configured and then it just disappeared with no explanation from the support team. This created several hours of rework which was frustrating. However, it is all working now and we haven't had any subsequent problems.

So far so good, we can't complain since the support we receive has been a highlight of using this great tool. Another advantage is that we can reuse the contents from the site and this saves much time.

The formatting tools are confusing, and I feel like there are a lot of useless ones that have easy access, but the more important ones are harder to get to

Easy to get the devop overview, great with highly customizable templates, velocity is easy yet powerful. Great API. Impressive knowledge in the user based forum aswell as the dotcms support.

Challenging to grasp the concept of a content driven, not page driven, cms. Would be awesome if one could limit user access to content based on languages.

We get the possibility to feed other systems with data from dotcms aswell as import data from other systems with the API. We can also easy give access to selected parts of the system to different users.
