We decided to start using ClickSend for 2 main reasons. The first one ClickSend is a pretty easy platform to send SMS you just sign up import your list of contacts, in this case, our users and start to create campaigns, no need to configure through no nothing just like an email marketing platform. The second reason is the price for SMS that is still one of the cheapest prices out there and it decreases the price if you buy more (from 0.045USD down to 0.036USD).
As I say is pretty simple even the interface, not that you need a complex platform to send plan text SMS but still they can improve the User Experience. In the other hand, the only thing I can complain is that ClickSend people will approve or not yous SMS messages and most of the time they get approved quickly but it happens to me that I scheduled a Campaign and in my mind, the campaign was sent but If I log in is quite frustrating that the campaign wasn't sent because it wasn't approved. The solution in 90% of the cases is that we forgot to include an opt-out in the message so it shouldn't happen to you if you include it in every campaign you send.
We have a transportation app in Mexico with more than 130k registered users. We have them filtered in different segments and use different channels of communications from intercom to push notifications, email, and of course, SMS that still it's a very effective communication channel. For transactional SMS we have Twilio or even amazon SMS. But for marketing and notification SMS we need a platform just like ClickSend that could remain pretty similar to emailing tools (as Mailchimp). That's why for us ClickSend was the best option thinking in simplicity and pricing also a plus is that it has connectivity with Zapier so it opens a world of possibilities.
It allows me to send "push notifications" of sorts from a web app!
It charges per text message, but only allows like 160 characters per text, and charged me to send two or three texts when I thought it was just one!
Helping me to send "push notifications" through a progressive web-app!
Although it's easy to fund a new account, the lack of integrity with pricing is very disappointing. But I suppose this is how Clicksend centers their marketing around: "convience"
BEWARE OF DISHONESTY - What isn't disclosed to prospective customers is that when you fund an account, you will not receive an active balance of sendable SMS messages. So rather than being fully transparent and being able to track the amount of sendable text messages Clicksend likes to hide your total amount leaving you blind. Oh, but it gets better! So, the entire RATE PER SMS changes if you purchase a smaller amount. BAIT AND SWITCH. I encourage ClickSend to revise this platform to provide VALUE rather than SHORT TERM / "flash in the pan" profit. This leaves a serious opportunity for any competitors in this space to do better and win many customers.
Upon signing up to ClickSend we were hoping to find a transparent texting solution which didn't have a dishonest pricing structure however our concerns have only led to redundancy and support articles which neglect a solution.
We use ClickSend for SMS (text) marketing, and it was easy to set up and get running quickly. Cost-effective and meets the needs of our client. I like that it's easy to upload contacts.
I need to be able to select *mutiple* contact lists for an SMS campaign.
ClickSend is a simple solution to our client's SMS marketing needs.
It's interface is very intuitive and easy to use.
Cost for buying premium service may be lower.
We don't need to use a physical fax machine anymore. It also saves on the paper and printing costs.

I use ClickSend in nonprofits serving individuals who have experienced homelessness. The pricing is good and the UI is intuitive and not challenging to learn or training others how to use.
Although ClickSend has several integrations for connecting the app to external third party data sources (Google Sheets, Airtable, et al.), there doesn't seem to be an option for creating and maintaining contact lists from live data. It would be really helpful if I could have a contact from a list be removed from ClickSend if they were dropped from a connected data source, for example.
ClickSend is a handy tool for quickly and efficiently sending SMS and MMS messages to large numbers of our clients to update them on community events, essential information, and other critical alerts. It's pretty straightforward to use and the pricing is reasonable.
When I initiate an SMS message through ClickSend, the message gets sent to the recipient within a few seconds, usually. I no longer wait for the cellphone provider network to eventually get around to sending my SMS messages. I am using PHP as my server process. It interfaces very easily to the ClickSend API. I use the PHP curl library to do the interfacing, which is very easy.
There is not much to dislike. Even the cost is very reasonable and very affordable.
I am solving the problem of waiting, sometimes many minutes, for the cell phone provider network to send my SMS messages from a web page's "mail" code. It is technically possible to route an SMS message to a user's phone using the mail() function of PHP, for instance, but the message often gets delayed a lot. ClickSend solves this problem by sending the SMS message very quickly, usually within seconds of my initiating the message through web-page code.
